  1. Past hour
  2. I listened to this on the drive home from work tonight. He's a nice guy, undoubtedly - and he did a good job of reversing the death spiral we were on, following relegation. But, by his own admission, he prioritised player harmony and relationships over winning and actively chose not to ask for more funds from the owners, when we were 2nd in the league (mid way through the season). Which is pretty unforgivable, in my opinion.
  3. I agree with everything here but I would add that we’d be more attractive to people with connections, power and wealth (being successful aka playoff and promotion chasing on a shoestring) and those are the things that you’d need to get the Rao’s shifted in my opinion. They’ll never bow to fans or public pressure. It needs to be something that puts them in a good light. Writing off bad investments isn’t one of those things. We are a perfect example of how football is fucked!
  4. Yes. As far as I'm aware JDT gave Wharton his debut. Mogga chatting shit as per usual. No time for the bloke, absolute fraud. Edit: Just checked and I am correct. 10th August was his debut. Fuck off Mowbray you lying twat.
  5. 1 at best i feel. Certainly can't see 3 coming in.
  6. He's a striker, why wouldn't he?
  7. does he normally take penalties?
  8. I can see us signing 2 or 3 before the window shuts, it will be interesting to see what Ismael but with the window closing in less than 96 hours we need to be getting them into the UK Saturday/Sunday at the latest to get it all done by Monday.
  9. What is it with shit no mark football managers comparing football clubs to oil tankers?
  10. Don’t worry he won’t come, the club pay crap wages that I doubt he’d accept anyway
  11. Brittain started off brightly then went to shit after a few games, then turned out good going forward (but arguably still iffy at the back).
  12. He’s made of glass though, I doubt we’d get more than 20 games out of him. Best to leave alone.
  13. Looks like he’s got his trademark yellow on his debut too
  14. They could choose to write it off. They could try to get it back. They could sell Rovers but retain ownership of Venkys London (with the debt remaining owing)* There’s probably further options too. * I’d be amazed if anyone agreed to buy the club under this circumstance. I think we’ve veered well off topic! 😁
  15. Don't think I ever saw him score a header

  17. Thanks for taking the time but I'm still a little unclear (thick!) If Vs walked away would we have to find 130m?
  18. Yes, owed by the club. These loans are always repayable within a year but the Venkys are yet to ever call them in. Of course someone owing you money and you getting that money back from them are two entirely different things.
  19. Buckley just scored on his debut. Good for him.
  20. Would take him on a free for a few reasons. Championship experience - lacking that at the moment. 1 in just under 4 for Leeds. That’s about 11 goals extra for us which we will need. Offers something different to Ohashi and Gueye
  21. Wonder if one of the new Greek strikers at Brighton would be available on loan? I know we've not gone down the loan route, but we can't afford proper quality at the end of the pitch permanently.
  22. Is he doing a Shelly Miscavige
