  1. Past hour
  2. The Ruel Fox effort? I always think the Peter Beardsley save in the first half is the most underrated. Doesn't even make some of the highlights!
  3. Bloody hell Norbert, say what you think 🤣 It also one of the best derby games in the world for atmosphere I'd say, never heard anything come close myself, but Boca v River plate is on my bucket list!
  4. That Judge is booking his holiday for the rest of the week as we type..........
  5. 2nd half, foot of the post, very low down to his right. I had given it up.
  6. Today
  7. What's the betting that the Judge decides to have an early lunch after case 2 and never returns 😉
  8. My 11th birthday and still one of my favourite days as a Rover.
  9. Hahaha I meant knack but I'm leaving the typo 🤣🤣
  10. You did well! I was a wreck from start to finish. Such a shame we faltered towards the end and had to depend on Manu not winning. Best memory of that game for me was Flower's save.
  11. Brace yourselves everyone - the listing order is out for tomorrow ( @Herbie6590 the thread title needs amending re date) and the Venkys’ case is being heard… Third!!!! we just need the judge to turn up now lol (seems Venky’s have lodged a new appeal which has pushed them up the list)
  12. To be fair they broke Rooney and Owen at that age too.
  13. It was amazing, although I do recall being ridiculously nervous for the final few minutes.
  14. What a night that was. Ewood shook with joy. Walking (or trying to) up Livesey Branch Rd. Everybody singing and dancing around us. Tumult of noise. Just wonderful.
  15. Top notch clobber (and accessories) too.
  16. I posted this in the Nostalgia Thread back in March. Many thanks to @Tyrone Shoelaces for the line up as I couldn't find it anywhere: I must admit, I always thought my first game was in 1983 - I knew it was the 82/83 season, however it turns out it was actually 16/10/82. A 3-0 win against Chelsea, Garner with a brace & Kevin Stonehouse. I can't find the Rovers lineup for that day but the main things I remember was being in the old Riverside stand with my Dad with the smell of pipe tobacco wafting up every few minutes and a bit of a scrap going on in the BBE, presumably with some Chelsea fans who'd got in there. I managed to find a few details from a Chelsea site, which shows a young David Speedie in the Chelsea team that day! Attendance? a whopping 6,062! All that really mattered to me that day was that I knew I wanted to back again. I was hooked. Line up as provided by Tyrone: Gennoe Branagan, Barton, Fazackerly, Rathbone, Miller, Randall, Lowey, Brotherston Stonehouse, Garner Sub Hamilton for Barton.
  17. I know, I'd take him as an impact player for those gritty games 20/30mins when we need all out attacking play to nab a goal. No denying he has a knackered for those goals.
  18. He was a very good player in his time, but his legs have clearly gone. He'd be nice as a bench option, but you know they'd be signing him as a regular starter.
  19. "Low 6 figures" according to Elliott Jackson I had always taken it as meaning somewhere between £100K & £200K, but that's my interpretation. I suppose technically that could mean anywhere from £100K to £500K? But whatever it is, he was certainly great value for money
  20. No thanks. Give Toth the gloves or try to upgrade on him.
  21. A good first season for Yuki, no doubts there. He's also improved on aspects of his game that were lacking when he first joined, his first touch and control was pretty horrific when he joined but he's got up to speed with the league and it's improved a lot. Him getting a proper rest over the summer and a full pre-season with the squad should be good for him. What did we pay, like £200k for him? an absolute bargain.
  22. Definitely too expensive and also would come in as new starter just as Toth has shown he deserves a chance. What I will say is the number of potential free agents this summer is crazy, looking at how many other Championship teams who also have 5-10 out of contract at once. If we are sensible we could pick up some useful players, though our lack of wage competitiveness will hurt.
  23. It was really sandy with a strong wind blowing. Something you never see today- the ref stopped the game 3 or 4 times get help get sand out of some of the players eyes with his hanky ! It’s funny the thing you remember. Oh and centre forward Steve Johnson ( ex-Rochdale ) scored two really good goals for them.
  24. That’s true but most strikers would benefit from a bit of support.
  25. He stopped the rot and got going in the right direction eventually.
