  1. Past hour
  2. Do you really need to call out England fans for being quiet though? He knows what Emgland fams can provide in Tournaments and qualifying
  3. Which I am sure is what the majority on here would think However, the self imposed wage restrictions do seem to mean that the only players who are willing to sign contracts with us fall into at least one of the following categories - young academy graduates - unknown quantities from abroad - players with questionable injury histories - fans of the club - players who are not good enough - such as the numerous wide players that have not been able to oust Hedges from his spot in the team The fact that even when they tried, they couldn't tie down a soon to be 30 year old, very average (at best) Championship performer Hedges down to a contract extension, shows just how much less Rovers are offering than their rivals
  4. I think we learnt a bit about some of the players. Gordon for one, I learnt he always takes a touch too much and heโ€™d rather shoot than pass to a better placed team mate. Watkins isnโ€™t the next Harry Kane. Saka has got a good left foot but is weak on his right, Iโ€™d have thought the Welsh players might have known that. Spence can play in both full back positions. Rice is a good box to box player. Etc etc.
  5. Today
  6. Depends on what a very average Championship player can expect at any other Championship club If it is more than what he is currently on, then he would be mad not to
  7. Hedges would have some serious cheek to ask for a pay rise. He has only just started playing well for a few games. Ngl I still don't care if he leaves at the end of the season as it stands.
  8. Unless he is already on (or very close to) the alleged ยฃ10K/week cap - not beyond the realms of possibility, he originally agreed a move to Rovers at the end of his contract with Aberdeen (which normally means slightly higher wages anyway), before Rovers agreed to pay ยฃ200K to sign him earlier, & this was whilst Rovers were not under the current self imposed financial restraints, and/or he possibly fancies a pay rise As we have seen with Hyam, Rovers have not been offering pay rises to established first team players, which may be an issue that they are able to side step by offering more than an extra year, but they also seem unwilling to do that
  9. I really still fail to see the point in playing a friendly against a team who had subs coming on that play in the third tier. Is either side learning from that pointless game? That England team will be miles different when the World Cup comes around.
  10. There was talk of a new contract for Hedges a while back but it's been very quiet on that front since. He is 30 years old now though, so I assume that's played a part. You would think getting him on another contract would be almost a formality, strange they haven't got it done and then sang from the roof tops about it.
  11. I think the subs made us worse not better. Thereโ€™s more than one or two players Iโ€™m still not convinced with.
  12. First 35 minutes we absolutely outclassed them then we do the usual English thing of switching off. I'd like to see us put in a 90 minute performance last night like the one against Serbia
  13. Predictable the next one would be a younger player on peanuts who they can then farm out and get a bit of commission for his agent. After that will be Hedges.
  14. Agree with that Ohashi (based on age & him being a decent, hard working, but not spectacular player at Championship level) & Carter (based on injuries) would be 2 more who they could probably tie down relatively cheaply and easily. I wouldn't be adverse to either of those, as long as any extension for Carter was fairly heavily weighted towards him being fit & playing. With our current budget, both are decent squad players at minimum
  15. Connie Francis - Where The Boys Are
  16. This work has been delayed to a later date, but why not use the delay to test logging in via your email? You can do it today as well as your screen name, but after the upgrade, it'll just be email address.
  17. Yep. Wharton Blackburn lad, Montgomery nowhere near good enough, probably add Hedges to the "renewals" before the season is out too. They will then class those three as huge wins. Like above, get Cantwell or Toth signed up on longer/better deals and I might start to come around. I bet they don't.
  18. I'm surprised a foreign manager criticizing the home fans hasn't been made more of in the media. Thought it was perfect for our media to jump in on. However, after the Southgate bore fest its quite refreshing having someone with an opinion in charge. He must be the only manager ever to take a national side to two finals whilst still boring us all to tears.
  19. You would envisage this is another easy one to get done. Personally I will accept that they have learned their lesson with contracts if they manage to convince a few of Cantwell, Tronstad (who is probably off), Toth & Alebiosu (who has only just signed but will be on a very low wage and needs tying down long term)
  20. Iโ€™m guessing this was posted before half timeโ€ฆthis was my prediction after 30 minutesโ€ฆ๐Ÿ‘€
  21. Yeah, but still think its good for him to call it out. Maybe the FA will think about scheduling games in a way for better atmosphere. Maybe the fans will respond and turn up the volume.
  22. We discuss this at some length in this episodeโ€ฆ https://www.brfcs.com/articles/new-4000-holes-podcast-out-now
  23. I know but a Thursday night against Wales in a friendly not like everyone's gonna be on the lash shirts waving around their heads lol
  24. Shall delve into this today at work ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  25. Yesterday
  26. Quite like Tuchel criticizing the fans. I think hes shaping up to be real entertainment. Very attacking, drops big names, slags off the fans. Nice to have something a bit different after decades of managers who are terrified of making a mistake or upsetting anyone.
