  1. Past hour
  2. Ismael not counting the Bradford game is weird, guaranteed he counts it if we won the game tho.. it’s not a friendly ffs it’s a competition.
  3. I alway thought Dolan would be more or a success than BBD because he’s willing to work harder. I know, it’s a low bar. Fans will accept some failings if they can see the player is giving his all.
  4. With a cheapskate policy the only wages within our reach will be the desperados no other clubs want (eg Forshaw) and the cheap and unproven foreign imports (eg De Neve). Nail absolutely hit on head by @AndyBand @MarkBRFC. Sadly, the gullible and naive section of our fan base will continue to swallow what, IMO, is utter bullsh1t coming out of Rovers.
  5. Too much to ask that the paving be properly cleaned and repointed for the occasion I guess..
  6. Clubs are no longer accepting “ magic beans “ as a currency.
  7. If we keep signing players without getting rid of them then we would have too many players in the building. Service and chances created is more important and would Shearer have scored all those great goals for us without players like Ripley, Wilson and Le Saux. That's why need to created more chances whether from set pieces or open play. Plus get 3 or 4 players in the box when crosses are coming in. Not just Ohashi on his own.
  8. We didn’t do it with anywhere near the commitment the Sheff Wed fans are showing … in just two games they’ve had a near total boycott of the concourses on Saturday, 99% of their following staying out the ground at Leicester. We’ve had just as good organisation by the likes of Glen and others, alas the wider fanbase just hasn’t ever had the stomach for it (apart from just walking away entirely, which, of course, is the ultimate protest when your cash is involved).
  9. You mean like Wharton, Szmodics and the Raya sell on fee money
  10. Yeah they can all - run a lot, pass it 20 yards, tackle a bit, head the ball a bit, etc. Can the they beat an opponent with the ball at their feet ? Can they be a “. difference maker “ like Berkovic or Bohinen or Warhurst ? All that is coached out of them before they’re 15.
  11. Maybe they are as popular in India as they are on this messageboard
  12. Then you need to sell or loan players our in order to bring players in. Some signings will work out and some won't just like every season in football
  13. Clubs want paying for players, and players want standard Championship wages. How dare they.
  14. The only reason the market is difficult is because our owners won't stump up the cash to buy anyone
  15. Why is the market "strange?" All of these situations with players contracts were predictable and are entirely of our own making. We cant use them as excuses. I remember being told to "stop going on about" the situations but they were always going to be the main overriding issue in this window.
  16. Just a lazy cliche. ‘Even Ronaldo/Messi/[add as appropriate] wouldn't score a goal in this team’.
  17. It's was you who posted that info. Slagging your own info off there. 🤣 His wife and children didn't move to Leeds with him. Did an interview during the season confirming that he lived on his own in Leeds
  18. Because we did it all from around 2012-2017 and nothing happened. We got slagged off all over SSN and my dad (then in his late 60s) was spat at on the concourse for wearing a Venkys Out shirt by one of our own fans. We held joint protests with other clubs, issued joint statements, gave the red card to Venkys vs Man Utd, did the 1875 protest vs Wolves, nobody in the press (not even our own fans) gives a shit about Rovers.
  19. I was told that I was just making excuses by suggesting that better strikers create chances for themselves. We have a very nice mix of a lack of quality both up front and behind/around it. We dont score many and we dont have many chances.
  20. Players at the top end of the pitch cost more money, that's why it hasn't been sorted. Any attacking signings will go until the last few days of the window, when clubs start to finalise there squads. Hoping to pick someone out of favour up on the cheap who might miss out on being registered by there club.
  21. I’m not an Hedges fan but it’s pretty obvious that he’s better playing on his “ natural “ side ie the left hand side.
  22. Agreed. Although at a much lower standard, look at the goals Jordan Rhodes scored in the 12-13 season with the utter dross he had around him that year.
  23. When there has been multiple 2pm Prem games on a Sunday in past seasons due to sides playing in Europe the Thursday prior, Sky have only ever shown the game they originally selected, which at times didn't even feature a side in Europe, None of the others have ever been shown on the red button.
  24. That’s a naive thing to say. Those two would score goals in any team Chaddy. They created plenty of their own chances like err….. good strikers do. Would you have made Ripley a priority signing over Shearer?
