  1. Past hour
  2. One probably won't be here and the other shouldn't be within a million miles of a professional football Club.
  3. Hence "moving back" over. You are correct that the vast majority of his games for us, and other clubs have been on the right wing.
  4. Not sure why you think that unless you thought I meant jumping up and down with glee as opposed to jumping up and down in exasperation. I've seen and heard lots of OTT criticism on social media and the radio. A lot of people are also opposed to his appointment simply on the basis he isn't English. I just want the best man for the job. Short of hiring Pepp or Klopp I think we've done that although I'll concede he's started in rather strange fashion.
  5. Dolan to leave so Hedges to start. Money in (maybe) and none spent. Bingo! The Venky's model
  6. I thought Hedges was a right winger? He only moved to the left last season/under Eustace. He's never been fast enough to go outside his man and use left foot, and all his best games have come playing on the right and running diagonal lines. Don't want him to start, but it's not a surprise...
  7. I think Gestede said we want a right winger "to replace Cozier Duberry." Probably another untested kid on loan I suspect.
  8. Thank God Hedges is still a nailed on starter for us, he's such a quality player(!)
  9. I thought he was quite good in that if you were playing one of the "big 4" of the time he would give a much more even handed display than the other referees would and wouldn't just give them every decision. RIP.
  10. That's good news, I can hardly wait to see Hedges back flip, when he scores.
  11. I wouldn't raise a finger to help the Venkys.
  12. He didn't promise anything, he just said "I always win something in my second season" Of course it's different to Wigan, they had been battling against relegation for a few seasons, there was no expectation for Wigan to do anything different other than battle relegation from the league. Spurs are expected to fight on all fronts as they've heavily backed their manager. Of course they won't swap it but the cup win doesn't make Ange a great manager when the evidence of a 17th placed premier league finish with less than 40 points on the board is sat there as evidence to the contrary. I don't think it suits yours either, Wigan didn't prioritise the cup over the league, they won the cup and tried to stay in the league as well. Wigan only made 2 changes for the FA cup final vs the game before it, one was a player returning from injury. Anyway, I'm done banging my head against a brick wall on this.
  13. Elliot saying that "internal discussions" have Hedges moving back over to the right wing next season, probably so they don't have to bother with a Dolan replacement.
  14. Today
  15. It's a different situation entirely. Your inability/refusal to see any nuance is infuriating.
  16. Is this De Neve guy actually close to signing or is it like the previous fella where the advanced talks fell off a cliff as soon as it was mentioned? If it is legit then I do see some logic in bringing in another left sided player. Hedges is crap and Kargbo's hammys have a 90% chance of going every time he breaks into a sprint.
  17. No one has said that they wouldnt prefer to win a trophy over finishing higher in the league. Its just that some people think that the overall performance of the club this season predominantly results in the league season make it understandable why the club have decided that Ange isnt best placed to take it forward and understand the sacking.
  18. Cos it doesn't back up your opinion hence why you dont like it. Ange promise a trophy and he delivered. Spurs fans will never that day but they won't remember finishing 17th for sure. They will always remember winning that trophies especially those fans at the stadium. I ain't changing my opinion at all. Why don't we leave it there. No one opinion is changing.
  19. Perhaps he should have worded it- No first team ready, signings.
  20. Dunno if it's been mentioned, but De Neve appears to auto qualify for a work permit, with 18 points (15 needed). So he won't take up an ESC slot.
  21. But he promised a trophy and he delivered. Simple as. Not at all a different story. Wigan could have prioritise the league and staying up, they didn't but they won a trophy and that's day is always in Wigan fans memories. Just like our league cup win in 2002. They did win a trophy and with that champions league. They were the favourite for the competition and they delivered and win the competition Poor manager who delivered what he promised. A trophy. That's the true bottom line. Do you think any Spurs fan would swap winning a trophy in order to finish in the top 6? Football should be winning a trophies not finishing top 6. Do you think Spurs fan is that bother who they beat to win their first trophy in years
  22. I have a question for you. Would you take a season here where you have to accept relegation but we win the League Cup? And would you keep Ismael if that happened? I would take that for a memorable trophy win, but also want Ismael out as he would have failed to demonstrate the ability to get results week in week out.
  23. I dont get why this Wigan comparison keeps coming up. I think most would agree that this season for Spurs will be a memorable one and they wouldnt swap it in isolation for a much higher league finish and no trophy. That doesnt mean though that the manager should stay. Results across the whole season have been awful and Ange has not demonstrated that he is the man to take them forward. They would essentially be keeping him on the result of one game against United.
  24. Hopefully the championship wages for bog standard players and young players has been organically capping itself although i think ours has a lot to do with fluffing out the squad with kids.
