The State of Ewood Park!
Tomphil2 replied to A Northern Horde...'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I don't think they do or at least not in the sense that is portrayed, it might be on in the background but that's about it. Used to go into the quite plush offices of a busy family owned and run Indian firm in the Wembley area of London. In there they had about 6 tv screens on the wall all blazing away with different things on, mostly business news, general news, stock markets etc. There was one that often had sport on, all this was just a backdrop as they sat at their desks on their phones, PC's and went about their work. I reckon it'll be similar with this lot, just background noise. -

The State of Ewood Park!

They were quick enough to use the Walkersteel name and branding as soon as they legally could though... -
Oxford was a Tuesday night, Watford is a Saturday so if we get the same attendance ( 6,000 ) as you expect then I would say that the boycott has definitely had an effect
-
You should put this post up on the front page of BRFCS as it perfectly sums up the whole situation.

January Transfer Needs
Emerald Isle Rover replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Again all subjective Totally disagree on McLaughlin and miller - they aren’t nesta and maldini but are more than capable at this level and both have been better than steady this season but certainly not perfect batth is done seems he’s done an Ayala and just form fell off a cliff after a good season the rest we are similar on -

I wonder if they are planning to offload Kargbo somehow? (How long is he out for?) Can't see where he plays in this team. -
He has to start ahead of Anderson

I've watched a couple of Boro games this season and Brittain was really good in both. Brittain is the better player as it stands right now but Alebiosu might develop into a better right back given time. -

Incredibly generous ratings imo Alebiosu A Gudjohnssen B Morishita C+ - flattered to deceive Mclaughlin C minus - massive downgrade on Batth Hickmann C - the definition of ordinary Miller F - Shocking defender Tavares F - no obvious redeeming qualities De Neve F - See above Henriksson F - Walking yellow/ red card Ismael - F Worst home record in 150 years. Baradji COULD be anything from A to F depending on a) Whether or not we sign him permanently and b) Whether he turns out to be a star or not. Bah Humbug! -

We seem to still be overlooking the biggest argument to be made to anyone not willing to miss one home game. ”Name one thing that has improved in the 15 years of Venky’s ownership?” They can’t answer. Because there isn’t an improvement. Think about that. For 15 years things have either got worse or not improved - which given advancements over the 15 years - is actually a net negative. If you can’t miss one home game after 15 years of no improvement then unfortunately you will never see the light. This does end, eventually. It’s simply a case of the speed of the demise now. There’s 10,000 people missing. The standards are dropping. The results are trending down. We either force their hands, or let them do it themselves. If you want it to be quick and painful then don’t spend a penny. No season tickets, no merchandise, no TV match passes. If you want it to be long and excruciating continue going and spending your money.

He'll have something to prove in this game though. -
If we have a good set of results leading up to boycott day then the protest will fizzle. too many fans can't see beyond thenext 90 minutes. But there is a de facto boycott of sorts going on all the time. Crowds are shrinking, many saying they won't be renewing next season so those who are organising the boycott---take heart, we'll get there in the end, just don't know when and what the end will look like and what follows.

Looks like Pickering is going to be potted in January. Doesn’t fit the system. Strange for a versatile left side or Centre back. Perhaps high earner syndrome, or contract rundownitis? Surely not. Probably be in the shop window Boxing Day. Funny how these reliable players become a liability under a different regime. Just call me sentimental. -
Well it's Christmas day so it's time to bust this one out as has been Christmas tradition going on however many years I've had this now. Merry Christmas everyone 🏖️

Merry Christmas to all my BRFCS brethren. -
I was just about to say the same. 100% agreed with you here. What the coalition have done is put it out there that there is now an official boycott movement in place. As results get worse and we slide down the leagues more and more people who would have just stopped bothering going are now likely to think about joining the boycott. The main thing here is the focus has been put right where it should have always been, the wretched creatures that own the club and their pathetic lap dogs.
