  1. Past hour
  2. Couldn’t give a f**k anymore. Boycotting early and going to watch Chorley at 3pm instead. Blackburn Rovers FC is now unrecognisable to me. If you’re still turning up blindly, wake up. If you’re not behind Venky’s Out, you’re part of the problem.
  3. A club of our stature, spent pretty much twenty years in the top flight, stuck down here since and one manager has been sacked (and that was too late) in a decade. As always, not normal.
  4. Today
  5. It feels like Gestede has picked out VI for the "project" and he'll be backing him for the full 3 years of his contract. I don't envisage any situation occurring for the rest of the season that would result in his dismissal, and I include relegation in that. Only chance he's going if Pasha is stabbing everyone in the back right now in India (and he will be) and putting a case forward that he can salvage everything and turn it all around. That would probably be the end for both VI and RG.
  6. I'd say because Coyle finally agreed to a smaller pay off when earlier he maybe felt entitled to the full whack.
  7. We been to Russia for a world cup just 7 years ago. I think we should have gone South America in full for 2030 world cup. Then Europe for 2034, then Asia like Japan/South Korea or Australia
  8. Really gotta hope BBC Lancs poses the question to him. Could get really spikey if pushed.
  9. Incredible that Coyle got until February. That disastrous lack of urgency essentially relegated us. Less than two years earlier Bowyer got binned in November, and we were 16th when he left. One can only speculate as to why Coyle in comparison got an extra four months to seal our fate in 16/17. One can also only speculate why ten years ago 16th in November wasn't acceptable, but now 20th in December is fine.
  10. It'll be interesting to hear if VI comments on it today in his presser. A couple of weeks ago I'm sure it would have been a resounding "it's nothing but detrimental to the team" but he's clearly a bit pissed himself right now. I still expect a similar party line, but you never know. All depends how bad things really are behind the scenes between him, Rudy and Suhail the snake.
  11. Of course. Not a chance big numbers of their floating fans are going to shell out for months on end of dead rubbers.
  12. Football is all about hope & this season they have none, I'm sure next years season tickets sales will be sky high if the takeover is successful
  13. Any Trouble - Girls Are Always Right
  14. If we are still in a bad way results wise and league wise when this comes around it'll be put on ice till April. Can see it coming.
  15. I don't think it can or even should be as simple as isolating football from other issues, they are inherently linked. It's the global sport and probably the most accessible and inclusive on the planet. I can understand not using football as a political vehicle, but in my opinion that's a very different issue to completely ignoring fundamental human rights when selecting the stage for the biggest tournament in the world. Where next, Russia? If not, why not?
  16. Wow. I'm a bit late to the party but that was shocking stuff. The comments from Cantwell were damning but exactly what we were all thinking. The only good player was the guy leaving us either in a few weeks time or at the end of the season. As for Gueye, if we got any money for him, we'll be laughing. At the moment I'd re-gift him to anyone as a Christmas present. Awful footballer. No wonder he's laughing and smiling all the time, I bet he can't believe his luck that we pay him thousands each week - I'd be laughing too! 😂
  17. The supreme leader is out of town and pretending it isn't happening. Win on Saturday and it'll all go away and there'll be 15k on next match......
  18. Agreed. Even if there isn't much backing for the boycott, it essentially puts a title to what half our fanbase is already doing. The media/other clubs often look at our attendances with disdain. As you say, this now brings it into the public domain WHY they are so low. Even if the immediate success of the boycott is negligible, its still worth doing for this very reason. Many fans have been boycotting for years. Season ticket sales will be at an all time low next season due to the continued watering down of the club. So whether this sees an immediate drop or not it sends a message to both the media and the owners. We know from Waggott that one of the few metrics they pay any attention to is season ticket sales. "Pasha, why are season tickets sales so low" "Its those pesky fans boycotting." I hope what Glen says is accurate and they'd consider selling. What we've been deprived of all these years is an adult conversation of the clubs ownership and direction.
  19. “Well Mr Vader…about this 2038 bid…can you categorically confirm that Alderaan will NOT be destroyed if they were to knock you out in the last 16..?” ”Well…it shouldn’t come into play…” ”Oh…OK…in that case…Death Star 2038 it is…congratulations…”
  20. I'm thrilled he's representing Nigeria at the AFCON. Yes, it leaves us in a pickle, but any well‑run team prepares for situations like this. Instead, we've been underprepared, just as we have been for pretty much every scenario thrown at us this season. I don't blame him at all; I'm delighted for him because the call‑up is thoroughly deserved. My disappointment is with the club for not being ready. What concerns me most is that as soon as rumours of a call‑up started a month ago, we should have been knocking on his door with a new, improved contract. We didn’t act, and now he'll return from AFCON as a full international (maybe even a winner) and will quite rightly expect far more than whatever we eventually offer. To me, it's yet another example of the club acting too late, or not acting at all.
  21. Its Friday, and still we await a response from those in charge to the Coalition letter....
  22. I suppose the answer to that question (in terms of how many break through) will at least partially be determined by what division Rovers are in in 2-4 years when some of these players break through
  23. Thanks for that, knew I'd left a few out! It does look like a good group and even if only a few of those progress to the first team it would be a proud moment for the academy

  25. Back then at least the regime had some semblance of normality. I.e crap manager they get sacked and replaced with a safe pair of hands (obviously an actual normal one wouldn’t have appointed the clown in the first place and at the very least sacked him earlier). Now? This fella is here for the duration, if that ends in League 1, ah well 🤷‍♂️.
  26. Ignoring Tyjon as he is likely off Atcheson, Michalski, Edmondson, Ball, Leatherbarrow, McCoy would all be in the mix. Doherty always looks useful to me wide (at U21 level at least) Lister, based on the clips doing the rounds (see 2 posts up), has tremendous technique, but is not someone I have seen a lot of But so much more than just ability to take into account
