  1. Past hour
  2. Not a phrase I've ever used, but hasn't Travis been one of the "rubber dinghy men" for the past few seasons? In fact captain of the rubber dinghy. it's football, it happens, it's totally detached from "real" life. Bullying? Come on, get a grip,it's as cut throat as it gets. The days of pinning colours to the mast for any player are well gone. I'll wish him well, thank him for his efforts and move on, probably won't even give him a second thought when we kick off on Saturday. The good news here is that the club might actually be starting to work more "normally". Cashing in on both Britain and Travis who wouldn't sign contracts is a welcome change of direction.
  3. Will be 2nd case to be heard tomorrow (if judge turns upโ€ฆ)
  4. David Raya?? Absolutely awful decision to flog him for what we did. I loved him and said across multiple platforms I thought he'd go to the top and play for Spain and a top team.. loaned in Walton as his replacement.. I used to love watching Raya warm up- so agile and amazing reflexes.. I'll never forget sitting their at ewood watching Walton warm up in a preseason friendly or training session at ewood and thinking 'Fuck me, what have we done!' Travis is a cracking player but he's not out player any more.. I certainly wouldn't advocate us spending 3m of our budget on him that's for sure..
  5. Yes - with the benefit of hindsight immediately after the promotion but even without hindsight definitely after the first season back in the Championship. Several completely wasted years followed.
  6. Brought in that Spanish coach, no?
  7. perhaps she has something to be bitter about?
  8. Eustace didn't like him either.
  9. Massively overstayed his welcome, especially when it was clear he had zero ambition. Brought us some stability then should have been replaced.
  10. Hard to see how he comes back from this. United didn't turn up until the last 20 minutes against League Two opposition, and it's not like it was an u23's team selection out there. Couldn't have scripted drama like that though. A late equaliser from United, they look set to go through on pens, then miss their 5th penalty. The penalties then go on for so long that the takers are being recycled. The miss then comes from one of their brand new signings. I can't get over the visual of Amorim hiding on the bench during the penalties with his head down. That is ridiculous for any manager, let alone one at a supposedly big club. How can he expect his players to deal with pressure if he can't?
  11. Celtic have won 3 from 3 and havenโ€™t conceded yet. Thereโ€™s no domestic turmoil for them. Russel Martin on the other hand โ€ฆโ€ฆ
  12. How long before Amorim comes under pressure? Talks a great game, been allowed to sign some good players but............
  13. That's because he's the only one in recent memory that has been good enough to care about.
  14. Touche' ! Fair enough. If things were going well/ everyone was happy with the ownership, you probably wouldn't hear a dicky bird (relatively speaking) from anyone between games. Oh to be in that position.
  15. May we all take a moment to laugh at Man utd fans
  16. I really couldn't care less for any player that no longer plays for us. Any rumours of any more incomings? Personal opinion is VI is exactly what we needed, he's trying to make us a more progressive team, he cant buy champ proven as outside our budget, he has to look for foreign bargains.. I think current team (Rudy and VI) are doing ok.. ultimately time will tell, but I woild rather live a life with some risk than trying to squeeze existing lemons within an inch of the lives.
  17. I'm not meandering towards savouring the match day experience. I'm already there and have been for decades! I'm the same as anybody else when it comes to feeling happy or down depending on the result. But I don't treat following Rovers to the same conditional level that you do. They're not my business venture where I must dissect everything, make cynical conclusions based on hearsay, and get engrossed by the resulting negativity. I would say "what's the point?" is more a question for you than me.
  18. To tell the truth, I am not bothered who we play as long as we win.
  19. 6-0. He is the gift that keeps on giving isn't he?
  20. No, Iโ€™d give Trav a round of applause personally but thatโ€™s not to say heโ€™s a legend / icon / historic figure for us. Eustace personally though, he can fuck off.
  21. Today
  22. You probably won't like this post as it's me but if you're meandering towards the point where you're just happy to savour the match day experience regardless of what happens on the pitch - is there much point in it any longer? Surely it's all about winning and losing and trying to achieve success no matter what day of the week it is. Not having a go at you, I know there are a lot of supporters who seem to have that mindset. it's just a rhetorical/philosophical question.
  23. Hello hello Rovers rejects, Rovers rejects.
