Im contesting you adding it to this number you are using to prove that after only 3 more signings, we are well covered. I disagree, those numbers include injury prone players, players who shouldnt be starting, young lads who we dont know how many games their bodies can handle. Most teams after finishing 7th and close to the playoffs try to build on the squad that did that and push on, so far we have lost Brittain, Dolan , Batth and Beck from our strongest starting 11 last season, our 2nd top scorer in Weimann.I think Tronstad will stay but Hyam and Travis could move on toward the end of the window.So possibly 6 players out from our strongest 11 last season and the 7th Weimann was our 2nd top scorer .

If there's any truth in the Gueye story, then I'd snap your hand off if it's a decent offer. He's a handful and a great character, but he's never going to score more than a handful of goals per season in this league. Not sure I believe the story though.

Gueye, had 12 goal contributions? Absolutely unplayable at points. We need him in the team, he scared the shit out of some defenders with his physicality and hold up play.

He is highly rated again so give him a chance. Montgomery is going to a good player, plenty of energy and can get box to box which we want We have category 1 academy for a reason to produce first team footballers. Not having Forshaw and Hedges debate again with you. Having another 3 signings gives us a big enough squad. We are 2 deep in every position plus extra keeper, extra centre back, extra 2 centre midfielder and extra striker. That's 27 players in a squad

Exactly, we need a big front lad like that in the squad it's what we've been missing for years. Whether he wants to stay at do that though is another matter.

'No fee has been agreed but personal terms are being discussed' 'A 3 tear contract is on the table' etc Er... to talk personal terms to a player under contract a fee must first be agreed and permission granted, nobody goes public with stuff like that unless Rovers have agreed to release him already. So it whiffs of someone trying to drum up interest or it's tapping up.

Well Gueye has a poor goal-scoring record(fewer than Dolan or Weimann last season I think). Decent in the air and hold-up play good. Defensive attributes better than forward ones for me. The idea that VI doesn`t fancy him to start I have no idea about that. Not the worst non-scoring centre-forward that`s rocked up at Ewood. But we would still need another player to finish the moves off if Ohasi was injured. Of course he might improve. Then again he might not.

I was watching something earlier rating clubs away kits and it said 7 teams hadn't even released one yet with a week to go till the new season 😕 not sure if it was 100% accurate, Sheff Weds were one though, maybe they'll just play in 'skins'?

Ok, my apologies for the confusion but I'm talking about the official squad and not a list someone on here has put together that's completely subjective 😂. Noticed you didn't acknowledge the point on squad quality. As I say, its not just about numbers....it's about having players who are good enough 🙂.

Sell Gueye for peanuts ...no way. We won't find any better.... Hes got a full pre season and will be even better coming season. Hes physical and powerful just what we need.
