  1. Past hour
  2. Wherever he is, he’s surrounded by money and no medals. Nice work if you can get it!
  3. Fair play to Tuchel who called the game and players exactly as we all saw it. Players lacking energy, lacking interest and unable to do the simplest of things. Spot on.
  4. I know its a game that no one wants to play, but scraping to a 1 goal victory over a team that isnt even all full time players further highlights how we do not have a team that is at the very top. Lets hope we can get another set of favourable fixtures next summer.
  5. Was at a one day international at OT when Tavare was batting. He was so slow we were convinced the opposition were trying to make sure they didn't get him out Ended up with the crowd shouting at his partner (might have been Gooch) to run him out!
  6. But why have such high expectations calling for x and y by pre season? When you factor in those things, and most importantly the terrible way our club is run, surely you would have little to no hope of anything being done by then. Also, speed in getting deals done and making the right signings arent mutually exclusive.
  7. You are just echoing Jackson's article and he is often just a bit of a club spokesperson. Other teams may have changed league or have had delays changing managers etc. We havent been in either bracket yet still almost always operate with delays. That is because of how terribly the club is run. I dont know if it is true that Suhail is in India but if so I bet the budget hasnt even been confirmed. This is a common theme here, our club isnt just in line with the standard, its behind. But its about what you post, the same patterns. If you are so keen to point out that so many transfers are not done for pre season, then why every season do you suggest that we should be getting a certain number when you know it wont happen, before then gaslighting people as if you werent the main one asking for them in the first place? Surely a better stance at the start of the window would be to say that you dont expect anyone in for pre season as many transfers are done afterwards?
  8. Good points. The toilets on the Riverside were delightful. A great view of the stars on a clear night but sploshing through the rain and whatever else (!) in the dark otherwise 😬 I was lucky (I think) to have a dad who took me to games despite the ever present threat of trouble but I can imagine a lot of people took the alternative view. Once or twice we had to make a hasty retreat!!
  9. What’s that Gareth Southgate doing these days? Would he come back?
  10. It's stating the bleedin' obvious but if you want to be self sufficient you have to speculate a bit on fees to accumulate. We don't seem willing to do the former therefore have no chance of achieving the latter.
  11. Awful, awful, awful.. Talking about Senegal being a challenge.. FML, Andorra were a challenge.. Can't break teams down. Embarrassing!
  12. massive concern for me is the fact we don`t even appear to be scouting lower league players at an age where they are going improve and we can sell them on,is`nt that the model we are supposed to be following???if it is`nt then we bloody well should be
  13. With Mike Brearley at the other end.
  14. The fact you're a Celtic fan has nothing to do with your feelings of course! I can't believe the amount of sympathy Ange got after scabbing possibly the worst game of football I've ever seen in my life. If it were a boxing match the referee would have stopped it on the basis neither party were making a fist of it. If they'd have lost that debacle, (which could easily have happened) no -one would have been lobbying for him to stay. They were diabolical in the League and Ange showed himself to be tactically inept and inflexible in his approach. I don't particularly like Spurs but from their point of view at least they didn't make the same mistake Man Ure did in keeping Ten Hag on and then having to sack him a couple of months later. And whist not great Ten Hag performed a lot better in the League than Ange.
  15. Today
  16. We've had worse. Like bright pink ....
  17. Aye Yuki and Ribero came out of nowhere and have done good but it's the Suhail and Rudy roadshow now so we'll have to see what transpires, if anything.
  18. No debt on the club!?!? What do you think the Β£135millionish is shown in the football clubs accounts owed to VLL and the Β£15millionish bank overdraft!?!? Someone posted Middlesbrough will appoint a new manager before we sign a new player. I will go a step further and state they will appoint a new manager and sign at least 1 new player before we sign anyone. Many Rovers fans think the club is fecked and are sick to the back teeth of being fed, IMO, bullsh1t. As I've said before Chaddy, stop making excuses for the club and stop trying to defend the indefensible.
  19. Dire stuff. Madueke the only one to come out of that half with any sort of respectability. Watched Spain v France the other night, fantastic game, the difference in quality is alarming between us and them
  20. Rather that, than someone who is known, but is poor.
  21. The first signing will come from left field anyway and be a name not even mentioned - or possibly heard of - highly likely to be from abroad.
  22. the FA and EFL will do nothing. As far as they are concerned Rovers are being run fine, selling players to meet the finances, no debt on the club, wages paid on times and all bills paid on time
  23. and people used to complain about Southgate's team selection. Its a surprising team selection with Jones at right back, James at left back and Henderson as holding midfielder
  24. Signings taking some time is perhaps forgivable, but to have not even agreed contracts with the players we retained (Batth, Weimann etc) is unacceptable. The club is just waiting for Eustace and Derby to offer them more so we don't have to pay them, and then the usual excuses will be trotted out. If we wanted to keep them we would have signed the deals, same goes for Trav/Tronstad/Brittain. Instead we are low-balling because Venky's can't/won't give us any money. Frankly, the FA should open an investigation into the mismanagement of the club and the inability of the owners to fund the team. If they were made the go through the buyer process they would fail, and therefore should not be permitted to continue owning the club.
  25. If one of the promoted sides manages to pick up more points than Spurs next season they could well be in the bottom three.
