  1. Past hour
  2. De Neve sounds like cheap squad filler material
  3. Globally famous club, celebrity owners who are rich and more than willing to spend both on facilities and players, with a clear goal at reaching the premier league within the next few years. Wrexham are a million miles ahead of us at the minute for any player worth their salt. A complete tragedy of our own making thanks to Venkys. I wish some US investors would buy us to try restore us to where we belong, founding members of EFL and EPL, and historically one of the oldest and most successful clubs in England.
  4. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25225237.expert-reveals-blackburn-will-get-dion-de-neve/ This isnt the most positive. Seems to have surprised the locals who expected him to stay in the Belgian second division. Doesnt score, doesnt assist, poor end product, hasnt really developed and inferior to Bocat who Stoke signed and has struggled.
  5. Yea they've definitely raised their profile and becoming an attractive club to play for at that level which fair play to them is looking to be a better outfit than ours
  6. Today
  7. Agreed - Wrexham have ambition, glamour and the opportunity for the players to hugely raise their profile to help their football and post football careers. I imagine many players would take moderately less money to play there.
  8. Hasn't come in for any of the dollops we signed in January. And little wonder.
  9. Yesterday
  10. It’s staggering really, not one player going down as if he’d been shot either.
  11. It was the stone age wilsden, thankfully we are spared from such horrors in the modern game. Dark times indeed.
  12. He made some of the most baffling decisions I have ever seen. Literally both sets of fans and players left in total bemusement by some of the things he gave.
  13. Why aren’t they waiting 5 minutes for a twat with a tele to confirm the goals should/shouldn’t stand?? …and don’t get me started on this 1-11 shirt number bollocks.
  14. It's been like that since I have been watching the game. So obvious that players from the 'big clubs' are favoured for selection. There's a reason they never gave the job to Brian Clough.
  15. That's just disgusting. I hope we never have to see such barbarian tactics again.
  16. Wrexham are currently a far better proposition than Rovers so if they want Travis then he would be a fool to not want to join them. We can hang on to him for 12 months but if its about saving money then we will surely want to sell him. Unless something dramatic happens, Rovers are a basket case in terms of competing at the highest level.
  17. And having the right footed winger on the right wing - what were they thinking. How on earth did they expect him to cope with cutting inside onto his weaker foot?
  18. Looking from afar it seems quite possible the ED are digging their heels in on behalf of the govt because they just don't want huge sums regularly leaving the country anymore. Probably trying to force them to drop the club or sell it, that could be the real driving issue.
  19. I know! Did you see Le Saux make a tackle? Ridiculous. And only three subs on the bench, how on earth are you supposed to completely disrupt the second half?? Thank god things have progressed.
  20. Thankfully we now have top tier coaches like Russell Martin who can show us the right way to play the game. Hopefully we never have to return to the dark days of crossing wingers, tackling defenders and the dreaded two up front.
  21. The thing that increasingly concerns me is how much say does the board at the FA have over the England squad, selection and tactics? I wouldn't have said it a year ago, but I was expecting (and looking forward to) Tuchel mixing things up - trying new tactics, getting a few different players in etc. Instead it's the same old players - Henderson, seriously?? - very similar tactics and very similar results. Southgate mk2. I've always thought that the England setup had a bit of a bias towards 'their' players who had come up through the youth ranks from the 'acceptable' academies - London and Manchester - it's very hard to break into the setup from the outside.
  22. What was that nonsense with Mimms catching the ball?
  23. I don't understand why the wingers crossed the ball into the box. They could have lost possession there. What they should have done was stopped and passed back 5 yards to the nearest player.
  24. I think the Championship is where they stall out unless Reynolds wants to throw A LOT of money at the problem - but as a player you'd definitely rather be at Wrexham than Rovers these days.
  25. He asked for Batth and Weimann. He didn't ask for Dennis...
