  1. Past hour
  2. Allegedly Waggott sourced potential backing for the women's team from a Company which in return would have wanted to acquire a stake in the same but the owners refused. As it was a good news story about Waggott which emerged more or less immediately after he got potted I'd treat it with a lorryload of salt myself but whether or not that part is true it does seem to be the general consensus he didnt want to take the blame for the women's team being binned off.
  3. Missed double figures for Bolton missed double figures for Dundee missed double figures for us (20 plus) already injured for Derby I’d say that’s a pattern and not just β€˜ a number of games’
  4. Exactly this. Its an excellent deflection tactic to start going off on tangents about individuals. Its the pattern. The indefensible pattern.
  5. He joined slightly late, played 24 times and picked up one reasonably serious injury which kept him out for a number of games. Hardly "all the time".
  6. Yep. Then you lose the Championship TV money and it's "How can we possibly compete with the "Boltons" or "Bradford's" of the Division. Rinse and repeat.
  7. I’d much rather a fit left back than one who is injured all of the time
  8. You haven't responded to what I said. Why won't you acknowledge there is a systemic problem at the club with renewing deals and it isn't acceptable? I'm not talking about individual deals, I'm talking about the very clear pattern. We all are. You seem to be the only one who isn't seeing/acknowledging it. Instead you keep resorting to trying to justify each fuckup.
  9. Is much rather a fit left back than one who is o hired all the time
  10. Fully agree, he's miles off it. Which is why it will probably happen. Nice, cheap and easy. And one they can point at saying "look we can get new contracts signed". Kristi Montgomery is committed, are YOU?
  11. I hope not. One of the most over-hyped young players we've had. Think Chorley is his level. Jason feckin Lowe was worth 10 of Montgomery - that's how poor Montgomery is.
  12. Ah yes, Forshaw who's mysteriously vanished off the face of the earth. What a good signing that was. Bet he's great around the dressing - I mean - treatment room
  13. Today
  14. There's been a few like Goddard, Michelsi, Batty etc who have signed new deals but it's a stretch to call any of those a first team player. No doubt the ones who point out Riberio signing a "new deal" which I don't think was as @KentExile said, will also point out Forshaw too. I predict the next player to sign a long term "renewal" here will be Montgomery.
  15. Well…there’s a way to resolve thatβ€¦πŸ‘€
  16. Who's the other one, Goddard? So one 18 year old kid who's miles off the first team and a guy who was only on a short term deal until the end of the season originally. And who's a clear downgrade on the guy he replaced. (Not having a go at you)
  17. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25447683.blackburn-rovers-sanction-loan-deal-previous-success/ George Pratt, 1 month loan to Chorley.
  18. Predictable! Anyone else since December 2023?!
  19. Only if there contract is terminated inside a transfer window. If he left on a free now he wouldn't be able to sign for anyone until there respective transfer windows open.
  20. Why? Free agents can sign outside of a transfer window.
  21. I think they were "great" for the Club at the time given the financial restrictions they had to work under. And they produced two out of the three playoff chasing seasons you seem so proud of elsewhere in your post!
  22. Brownhill is going to have to be made of rice paper to get snapped by Buckley.
  23. Not downplaying what has happened to the women but the same thing (in essence) thats happening to the men, albeit the dismantling of the men's side is being done rather more subtly. Edit: Jackson seems to like doing fluffy PR pieces on all aspects of the Club. Perhaps he'd care to do one on the women?
  24. I know the commentators were raving about Anderson (and trying to excuse the performance in general) but I didnt think he was that good. "Capable" was the way I'd describe his performance. I think we'd have seen a lot more from Wharton had he played against that sort of opposition but on the basis that possession is nine tenths of the law that is a worry. He needs to get himself fit and stay fit and force himself back into the reckoning.
