  1. Past hour
  2. I think it's fairly typical for a player to get roughly half the remaining value of their contract when mutually terminating. If someone paid me 1.5 years of work in a flash, to get out of this circus of a club, where I wasn't even anywhere near to making it, I'd consider it a favour tbf. But yes, 'we've sacked him so he can explore other options' is definitely some amusing spin.
  3. You can set your tweets so that only certain people can reply to them (i.e. when you @ someone's account). They'll have just not @'d at anyone so it's a tweet without the ability to respond to it.
  4. My son said there were chanting Tommy Robinson
  5. The San Diego FC Reddit puts Duru as their 3rd or 4th choice full back, plugging an injury gap for potentially only 1 game.
  6. To me it was a look of "Of course you've been conned by that theatrical dive".
  7. ' Club statement By Blackburn Rovers FC Blackburn Rovers Football Club is aware of, and extremely disappointed by, the chants from a small group of supporters during Saturday’s match against Birmingham City. We condemn this behaviour in the strongest terms. It does not reflect the values of Blackburn Rovers, our supporters or the diverse community we are proud to represent. Such discriminatory, inflammatory, anti-social or politically divisive behaviour will not be tolerated at Ewood Park or in any area connected to the club. We are reviewing the incident in question and will work with the relevant authorities to identify individuals involved. Those identified will face appropriate action under our stadium regulations and sanctions policy, including potential bans. Blackburn Rovers is a community club that belongs to everyone. We are committed to ensuring Ewood Park remains a welcoming and inclusive environment for all, and we thank the vast majority of our supporters who follow the club with passion and respect' what's this about?
  8. Legally almost certainly not (we’re the former club):
  9. I am not sure what 'Restricting Responses ' means /
  10. No need to worry about Duru leaving. We have Montgomery to slot in at RB…
  11. Not quite Durus first pro deal was 2023 He signed another deal a year later
  12. Are they painting us as racists again? They're pulling out the old playbook.
  13. There are ways round it. Indeed in the JW Upper supporters are often sat watching the game with a pint. No one bothers.
  14. He's surely on first deal terms still. Do we have any duty of care for the lad once San Diego finish for the season. Surely he can't afford to be living there on Β£500 a week.
  15. Off topic (but this group gets the most traffic), not looking to discuss the chants from Saturday (which I didnt hear from the JW, W12). But I see the club are now "Restricting Responses" on social media posts.... Not necessarily a bad idea on this occasion, but it is the first time I've seen them do it. Would it shock anyone if they used the tactic much more often, and I wonder if that'll become more and more the norm as they continue to strangle opportunities for the truth.
  16. It is produced by a 3rd party who produce anniversary books for a number of clubs such as Villa and Spurs. They have done some decent publications but as you will have heard at the WATR AGM Suhail wanted the owners to do the introduction and Steve Waggott sensibly advised against given the threat to book sales. I don’t know what the ultimate outcome is but I would guess, and it is a guess, given that SW has gone it is Suhail who would have determined the outcome.
  17. You need to give him a bit longer to catch up on this thread. 😁
  18. I note that our intrepid reporter Elliott Jackson has not yet noticed that there is a discrepancy on how long for, and that the MLS team seem to be claiming there is an option to buy He may not have noticed Duru has left on loan at all, it seems that his collegue Dan Barnes thought it only warranted a sentence at the end of his report on Mafoumbi's release
  19. I never get fed up of The the Rangers or Celtic loosing. Hate both the Ugly sisters.
  20. Football works in mysterious ways and whilst Hull were expected to struggle a bit due to the embargo, it looks like it may have provoked a bit of a backs against the wall, let's fight with what we've got mentality. It's early days mind and a few injuries may end up hurting them as the season progresses. For now though, I think it'll be another struggle for us. That being said, had we held on in Saturdays game we'd be a lot more positive going into the game, fine margins and all that. I'm going for a 1-1 draw.
  21. and the pretence that we only need one more signing if Travis stays. Astounding.
  22. The MLS season ends in October. Maybe that is why it’s stated until then. but why would San Diego say otherwise? Also, I think Leo will be a cracking RB. God we are a mess.
  23. I take it our recruitment team have had another busy day ? 12 days to go !
  24. Our transfer window will be open then so doesn’t sound wrong to me. The only other option would have been January β€˜26 but presumably they want him for the start of their next season (February) too.
