Hyam likely to be sold today. Oh dear, that's a massive blow. Can we even get a replacement in at this stage? Our leader and mr consistent at the back sold. That's not a good move at all for us. The spine of the team has been blown apart this summer.

If we could get £3m - £4m for Hyam in the last 12 months of his contract, then it’s a great deal. But the fact it’s on deadline day and we all know we won’t get a competent replacement in, we can’t let him go this late.

Selling anyone today (except Leonard) would be a disaster unless the replacement in in the building and signing when we sell. Even then we don't have a good track record on deadline day...

Can I say I kinda miss the transfer day chaos? Not the fax-induced PTSD or the like, but just the buzz that used to follow deadline day. Will he stay? Will he sign? Any «secrets»? Today….nothing.
