  1. Past hour
  2. mission accomplished, sell the last players who are of any value,i think this last lot of sales are it,we litteraly don`t have anyone else to sell who`ll bring in any money, the cupboard is now officially bare, unless tyjon turns out to be another adam wharton, then he`ll be sold quicker than an a ipad on black friday be interesting to see what will happen next season
  3. Yea I’d agree and theirs has probably gone up. Probably close to double ours now!
  4. Can't see that, he has Zetterstrom already there Trav to Derby though, is easy to envisage 😞
  5. Keith Newton. That team went from 2nd at Xmas to relegation the following season.
  6. Depends who the buyer is but I’d say similar to Brittain
  7. You'd hope for at least 3m for Trav. Wage figures are tragic, would guess that we are probably 3rd or 4th lowest in the league now. Players we released or sold were presumably higher earners (Dolan aside), and we are replacing them with cheaper ones. It is literally the Coyle era project all over again, which I seem to recall was the last time Suhail had complete control....
  8. a couple of years out of date (due to how accounts are submitted/processed, financial years etc), & Rovers have downgraded a bit since these figures https://www.matchdayfinance.com/post/championship-financial-results-season-2023-24
  9. It doesn’t have to be all Bazball, it can be sensible and measured cricket too. Dropping six catches and getting out cheaply is bad in anyone’s book anyhow.
  10. wonder if eustace is circling????he might want hair extension pears as well
  11. Wonder what their total wage bill currently is compared to ours, it’s a difficult thing to find out until the financial year after.
  12. If Brittain went for Β£3.5M, you would think maybe Β£2.5M - Β£3M both English, same contract situation, Brittain probably a better footballer
  13. how much will travis fetch????? his replacements are in talks about signing,so it`s blindingly obvious he`s on his way out
  14. And so it goes on… ….transitional phase (again)… …scapegoat blamed –it was previous regime’s fault re contracts etc (ie. Swag)… …new scapegoat in place (smirking and able to spin with a straight face like Keane)… …expensive players offloaded and cheaper replacements brought in… …new narrative in place (ie. it’s all about youth)… …we have signed 5 new players (likely to be 6), not to mention possible loans, be grateful… …shadow man, still in shadows successfully manipulating the narrative for the hard of thinking… …Rao’s still…can’t be bothered to type a list of ills…
  15. Please edit, you've been a supporter for longer than 5 years πŸ†
  16. Morgan Whittaker has since surpassed him as their top earner, somewhere between Β£25K-Β£30K/week
  17. Not at all what I imagined him to look like. It looks like he's spent too long north of the border on the Iron Bru 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 (I say that as β…” Scottish myself).
  18. it`s nailed on imo, carter would have been next on the list if he had`nt been injured
  19. Also according to some basic online stats which may be well off, Darragh Lenihan is Boro’s top earner on 20k+. I doubt any of our players are on that, let alone a wage structure with those sort of figures built in for parity. It will always come down to turnover unless we’ve a owner who wants to invest, funnily enough, like Boro. Miller could be a solid investment though and I’m looking forward to a long throw as a weapon!
  20. 3-1 WBA. Threadbare squad, lacking badly in quality, and no time for any of the new signings to 'bed in' over pre-season, except De Neve, who isn't very good.
  21. Smart man and obviously not desperate. Trav next.
  22. I think you're spot on. Also, you may remember me telling posters, just after Eustace left, to keep an eye out for a pattern that has been showing itself over the last 15 years. Re: Six clubs in particular. I said Karanka would be next in based off of that pattern. It didn't happen, but a hack had him down as the leading candidate for a time, which says plenty IMO. Looking at this summer...whatever it is, be it a small world, fishing in the same pool etc, the pattern is there again.
  23. It is simple economics, what I find most annoying is why we are not told the truth, I am sure it would be more acceptable to people if we were.
  24. Agreed... My best guess at the moment is Brittain, Dolan, Travisz Tronstad etc are looking for Β£10k+ plus and its a hard no, while McCloughlin, Millar etc come in for 6k to 9k. I am completely speculating but it does seem weird we are letting players go for free over say 5k a week which is 0.5M over two years, but if we could sell them at a time of our choosing they would be worth millions to us?
  25. I saw it. It seemed like a real blow to the morale of the players and the fans. The collapse was cataclysmic. The next 7 games included these defeats....0-3, 0-3, 0-4, 1-4, 1-3, 0-4... And remember Rovers were 2nd in the table before these results....
