  1. Past hour
  2. Heard the Arte et Labore podcast. I know there are too many things to protest about and the malaise has lasted 15 years. However, there’s a desperate need for a succinct crib sheet with clear bullet points on our issues and aims.
  3. No, you could print the ticket at home, or get a hard copy ticket at the ticket office.
  4. Ah ok thanks - just had an e mail about it. I have no idea what a Google wallet is, tend not to use my phone for paying for stuff but Ill persevere and get there eventually I guess. Does this mean you can't attend matches if you dont have a smart phone?
  5. Cecil Chadwick back in 1936, ‘that Owens should just focus on his running’
  6. Online is more difficult than it should be. Customer facing stuff that works (or doesn't) - including manning telephones that are answered quickly and supporter relations - is absolute basic stuff and another sign of a failing entity
  7. If you have bought them online, I presume they will be digital tickets? If so you need to go to your email confirmation and download them into your google/apple wallet.
  8. Just ordered 2 tickets for tomorrow online, an incredible faff, having to re-register an account etc - why do they make things so difficult? No instructions whatsoever online about where to actually pick the tickets up from - can anyone assist in that respect please?
  9. The 1936 Berlin Olympics were great. The events were so good the Swatsika banners, SS uniforms and Juden Verboten signs were irrelevant. The Germans were not pushing their ideology at all.
  10. Indeed. It costs a fair wedge to put in a bid, and why bother wasting that money when you know Saudi are involved and FIFA are the decision makers?
  11. That's because you are looking at it from the point of view of somebody who wants the team to do well. If Alebiosu comes back with his reputation enhanced and the club can sell for a decent profit, I'm sure they'll be delighted. Onto the next cheap punt/academy player. There is no desire here to keep hold of our best players through increasing salary - we have seen that throughout this year.
  12. That's the current plan (with the profit being used to fund the club). It wasn't the plan before this summer, however.
  13. Today
  14. I hope they're not expecting their £200m back. Nobody is buying the club for that kind of money.
  15. Agreed. I think two (and probably more now we hit the winter) abandoned games have really brought the spotlight down on our owners / administrators though. There's no running from this chronic lack of investment - an army of super soakers isn't going to rescue you at half time.
  16. I've thought of a plan for tomorrow's match, put Ismael in the Millwall dugout, and hey Presto, our first home win since Southampton.
  17. I'm actually now going to the game tomorrow as a one off, a friend of mine is up from London and wants to go to the game and Ill hopefully be seeing another friend I've not seen for ages who had a cancer diagnosis. Meanwhile the Cap of Honour thing gets ever more bizarre - Nicky Reid the latest recipient.
  18. No other counties bid because they knew FIFA and Saudi had carved it up between them for 2034 💰 💰 💰
  19. I have a league match with my U11 side in the morning and, genuinely, I am more invested in that than the Rovers game. I'll probably catch Rovers on (entirely legitimate, of course) telly when I get in, but my weekend mood will be defined by how my twelve 10-year-olds get on just before. We're going for a 3rd consecutive league win and playing Dingles 🫡
  20. Couldn’t give a f**k anymore. Boycotting early and going to watch Chorley at 3pm instead. Blackburn Rovers FC is now unrecognisable to me. If you’re still turning up blindly, wake up. If you’re not behind Venky’s Out, you’re part of the problem.
  21. A club of our stature, spent pretty much twenty years in the top flight, stuck down here since and one manager has been sacked (and that was too late) in a decade. As always, not normal.
  22. It feels like Gestede has picked out VI for the "project" and he'll be backing him for the full 3 years of his contract. I don't envisage any situation occurring for the rest of the season that would result in his dismissal, and I include relegation in that. Only chance he's going if Pasha is stabbing everyone in the back right now in India (and he will be) and putting a case forward that he can salvage everything and turn it all around. That would probably be the end for both VI and RG.
  23. I'd say because Coyle finally agreed to a smaller pay off when earlier he maybe felt entitled to the full whack.
