Jorgensen is a top player at this level. Brentford did well and had great success with Danish players..hope he do well for us.. Rovers have done well to keep this under wraps. -

Either that, or the club are trying to flush out a leak Different names given to different journalists/ITKs. If someone gets sacked from Rovers in he next week, they may have been a leak Another possibility is RoversXtra posted the Donnum story on twitter at pretty much exactly the same time as Jackson. So maybe Jackson got caught copying his homework? (or vice versa, but if Jackson was the one being copied, I cannot see a reason as to why he deleted his story) -

It will be similar to the Tavares deal, where the reported fee on €3.5M is if he hits every single add on, scores a truckload of goals, and we win premonition 'the initial fee will be circa €1.5M -

Don't want to get too excited yet. He's only played a couple of seasons of top flight football in Denmark and Norway. But it's another option up top that we desperately needed. -

We’ve gotten to the point where buying a player for £3 million seems beyond beliefs. When just a few years ago we spent double that on a teenage Diaz and a flawed Gally. This after collecting 20x the spend in player sales. -

Just looking more into Jorgensen and it is a hard one to get a true feel for. I am skeptical of the fee. If its true though, he needs to really become an important player as its a decent amount for a club like us. It is strange that he has joined Bodo Glimt, struggled to become a regular and are seemingly selling him 6 months later for a similar fee. His position is obviously a bit of a strange one. He seems to have predominantly been played wide and I have seen a couple of comments on twitter suggesting that he isnt a striker from Scandanavians. That being said, playing as one of 2 strikers is a different job to just playing on your own. Every player has a good highlights reel so I never get excited by them. But they can provide a bit of use in terms of seeing the type of player youve signed. He doesnt look overly quick but he does look quite physical so hopefully he will be able to adapt. There has been a lot of debate about the formation, I personally think we are probably right to stick to the 352. Our defenders individually all probably need a third defender as none are particularly great individually and a lot are left footers so theres at least scope for 2 in a back 3. We look far more secure in that formation. Even if Jorgensen is better wide, we dont have any other competent wingers anyway and also our 2 strikers are not best suited to being up on their own. I think its really important that we get another more natural striker, even if its a loan, and of course a left wing back. I think you need 4 strikers for 2 positions both to cover injuries but also to be able to rotate. Having gamechangers on the bench is criticial too. Since we changed formation, when Gudjohnsen and Ohashi were on the pitch together, fine even though the latter is very limited and should only be a squad player. But obviously our alternatives were the useless Gueye and also have been players like Henriksson/Dlamini who are quite clearly absolutely nowhere near Championship (or even League 2) forwards. It would be truly amazing if Jorgensen isnt a massive, massive upgrade on them. The question is, is he good enough to hopefully slot in alongside and have a good partnership with Gudjohnsen. We will see. -

It’s also entirely possible Rovers got the players mixed up and signed the wrong one. Wouldn’t put it past this lot -

Disagree. There are quite a few to whom it will undoubtedly fall on stony ground but I reckon that there will also be quite a few whose views arent quite so entrenched who recognise that the small sacrifice of missing a single game is necessary in pursuit of the greater good. -
It will, because there’s nothing in it to make deaf ears listen. I spent my career in marketing communications and a large chunk of that in measuring and improving their effectiveness, and this breaks the most basic rule of all that was drummed into me 45 years ago as a young Assistant Brand Manager: never forget that you aren’t your target market - it’s not about you liking it, it’s about people who don’t agree with you liking it. And this video is preaching to the choir. The target market is people not currently inclined to boycott. Yet this video talks only to “we”. “We marched” “We aren’t being listened to” etc. The people who need to be persuaded aren’t currently part of that “we”! There’s also no rationale that would persuade. Why now? What would happen if there was a near total boycott? How will this make a difference in a way that could overcome someone’s scepticism? I had a boss whose favourite criticism of ads was, “This is a pissing in your pants ad.” Gives you an warm feeling but leaves only a mess.

I was thinking that. Jackson's beyond useless in general. I hardly think getting a transfer rumour wrong is the worst thing he's ever done. I was a lot more irritated by his puff pieces on new contracts (edit) and Hedges earlier on today. -

Theyve possibly set him up to embarrass him. He must be struggling for sources at the club post banishment.
