  1. Past hour
  2. I’ve told you, you’re right, Adam Wharton is far better than Paul Scholes.
  3. Very best footballers like Gabriel Heinze
  4. By the way Ryan Giggs won it once in 20 years, Schemichel never won it, maybe, just maybe because it was an era of the very best footballers at that club which Scholes was obviously one of. But ok, if the metric to you is POTY over a sustained career at the very top winning everything in sight (I.e it’s a team sport) and you know, your own eyes, then fine, ‘Adam Wharton is far better.’
  5. Liverpool didn't start POTY till 2001, Rangers till 2007. Regardless, I never claimed that Souness was an elite footballer & one of the greatest players I've ever seen, like you said about Scholes that even Man United fans didn't rate that highly
  6. Second Division at the time, so like I said.
  7. Knowing this regime, I think it's something as simple as they didn't know back in the summer and all of a sudden in the last 6 weeks or so somebody has cottoned on that we're coming close to this being an issue. All too familiar with things like that happening here.
  8. He was Boro's player of the year in 1974.
  9. I'd be surprised if Cantwell was here beyond January to be honest. We've seen first hand over years now what the people running the club are all about and what their priorities are. Cantwell in no way shape or form fits the 'model' they are imposing and that's before we speculate as to his wage, which is rumoured to be substantial. No way on earth they are renewing or improving a big earner contract so they'll be looking at him, half way through his deal, and the question will be is January or the summer the time to sell? It staggers me that some people still seem to think this sort of thing isn't happening and that there's no way there could be more to it than meets the eye. There's been more than meets the eye on most of the departures over the last few years. Tends to be when it's the club and those running it trying to force people out to achieve their own agendas.
  10. Depends who you ask 😅 Souness never won one in his career as a top flight footballer either, like I said, daft.
  11. Today
  12. How is it daft? The supporters that watch him week in & week out vote for the best player & he didn’t win it once! So it’s your opinion & one Zidane quote vs Man United supporters who watched every minute of his career. How long do people have to be part of the brfcs forums before they’re respected as much as you?
  13. Nobody would contemplate conspiracy theories if our owners and admin weren't such liars.
  14. Well that shows how football is a game of opinions, I often came off games against that lot thinking ‘bloody hell he ran the game’ The POTY stuff by the way is so daft it shows how this newbie hasn’t quite got to grips with his trolling (maybe it’s funnier said once on a podcast).
  15. A Live, Laugh, Love picture in his kitchen by the sounds of it
  16. We'd retain aome of those players if the club had the slightest shred of ambition to do anything other than just simply exist.
  17. He's certainly up there but there's a few ahead of him that's for sure. Put ot this way, I never saw him play and came away thinking "fuck me what was that?" Always a solid player though, even though there's no way he'd have got away with half that dirty shit if he didn't get the protection from the refs. I don't watch much if any premier league any more, but I wouldn't be surprised if Adam Wharton regularly puts in some "fuck me what was that" performances in the very near future.
  18. But for 20 years Man United fans watched him week in & week out & never once voted him their player of the season
  19. Normally clubs update on players we've heard fk all about Cantwell. Very suss
  20. Yes I suppose I am being unreasonable expecting a player we signed to actually play for us. As for TC I really rhought he would have been sold in the past summer window. Are we cotton wooling him till January, never know with these loons
  21. Yesterday
  22. Exactly. I'm not sure why some people find the possibility that: the bean counters might want him off the wage bill and we've therefore come to an agreement with his advisors that he can leave in January is such a fanciful idea. A "kick on the knee" doesn't take months to heal. The best case scenario is that we've misdiagnosed the severity of his injury in which case his camp wouldn't be happy with us anyway.
  23. Nah doesn’t mean anything that. He usually posts stuff like that anyway. Please stop overthinking it lol.
