  1. Past hour
  2. Had a quick look online and as at 24 hours ago it appeared Norwich, Charlton and Portsmouth were after him. So you'd imagine that the existence of anyone willing to pay actual money for him would rule us out but theoretically he looks like he'd be a good signing for someone.
  3. Well said. Trying to put 'that kind of feeling' into words is so difficult. There's actually no words to describe it fully but that was about right 👍🏻
  4. The apathy kind of sneaks up on you. It hit home to me the other day. We were planning some stuff and the Mrs said ‘but Rovers are at home?’ One, I hadn’t even checked the fixture list and two when I said ‘well, we’ll go that day anyway’, the fact we wouldn’t look to arrange it for other days had her shocked. Anybody that knows me would be amazed by that, Blackburn Rovers is part of my identity, like part of my family, certainly it’s how my actual family have always seen the club. I’ve prioritised it (or had it prioritised for me) since I was about six/seven years old. First it was knocking night games on the head, but I rationalised that in my head with ‘work, cold. Red button’. For 3pm’s? Well, I’d just rather be doing something else. A football club and your relationship to it is precious, something you can’t really quantify, the sense of pride, of belonging, that link to generations passed… and they’ve destroyed it.
  5. I disagree - I thought Broughton was full "aligned" and on board with the plan to sell anything that wasn't nailed down. Thought he was more than happy to turn us into the Crewe Alexandra of the Championship right from his very first interview. Weird we've had no "forget to press send" moments or missed deadlines since he left as well. But as with one or two other well trodden subjects, I know not everyone agrees. 🙂
  6. I don't think his movement is better at all. I think the only thing he has over Gudjohnsen (based on the Leonard of last season, absolutely he may be improving) is workrate.
  7. @RoversXtra on X has an "exclusive" that we want Davis Kellor-Dunn.
  8. Difficult to assess that until they've both had an extended run at the same level. Personally Id say Leonard's movement is better than Gudjohnssen's but the latter is more clinical in front of goal. Although Leonard may be improving in that respect.
  9. Does it not say to you that the rumours about Ryan Alebiosu being offered to other clubs is true? That's how it feels to me.
  10. Feel this to be a watershed season for many Rovers fans.
  11. Not getting at you but we always also generally target back up in various positions when many of the starting X1 aren't good enough to begin with. Again cheaper.
  12. Definitely better for me, yes. As shown by him scoring similar goal numbers in a higher league.
  13. What val says and what actually might happen could be two very different things
  14. I think we do need a right wing back to cover Alebiosu. But Ismael said the other day that we arent getting one so file this under nonsense rumour.
  15. I think you can add Gregg Broughton to that list of good faith also. Say what you would like about the success of his signings, you felt that during his time here the ambition was re-sale and re-invest and then promotion. Hence why Broughton did not last long, and the end of his time here coincided with JDT telling us that the project had changed Broughton and JDT aspired too much for this lot. It panicked them and since then Suhail has crushed any and all opposition to him within the management structure of Rovers
  16. Cheap squad fillers in positions which aren't the priority. It's our modus operandi.
  17. Yes should be back after next game.
  18. We need a back up for Alebiosu for sure but unless this lad can play at LWB, he's not much use to us right now, as isn't Alebiosu back after the next game?
  19. I want to be proud of Rovers again…
  20. That line was more of a bite back to the narrative you see amongst some fans, that if you have any sort of grievance about where club is at the moment, then you need to forget about the Premier League days and that we are now at our level. I think winning means something different to different people. For Rovers - you're right - it's not the same as the clubs you've mentioned. But being a well run club, that shows care to its fans and does everything it can to remain competitive is our version of winning. And we should want that collectively as supporters. In my opinion it is a reasonable bare minimum expectation. We had that and there's not a sniff of it left. It saddens me that the disillusioned can see that but the supposed hardcore are happy to ride the decline as long as we win a match or two every now and then.

  22. The BRFCS Player of the Match in association with SUITS ME - the official Rovers debit card provider - is Tom Atcheson...⚪🔵 MOTM template.mp4
  23. I read that as five Mowbrays 😁😁
  24. You realise they’re just saying things to get a reaction?
