  1. Past hour
  2. 2-0 Preston, easiest 3 points they will get this season. We just won't be up for the battle as they will be in our faces from the 1st minute.
  3. Will be a tough game this one. Hopefully cantwell is back for this one otherwise it’s pretty much wraps.
  4. Today
  5. Actually not sold out (edit) released in blocks try again now mate
  6. Yea not carrying any confidence here. The ones we wanted to win aren't happening. Derby, Preston and the Ipswich replay.
  7. Anyone know when tickets are released to general public? Don’t have a season ticket this year - I’ve tried to get a ticket as it doesn’t say there’s any restrictions and it shows the map and a load of seats available but won’t let me buy one. Anyone any ideas?
  8. Would they take a significant loss in their books if they sold us (with a loss)? Previously they've said categorically that we're not for sale, now it's different tune. I don't expect anything to happen anytime soon, but within the next five years I believe we'll have different owners.
  9. Betty Everett - It’s In His Kiss (The Shoop Shoop Song)
  10. I suspect we'll get beaten pretty comfortably here. We've had our 3 wins in a row, time for 6 losses on the bounce.
  11. Need a result here to claw back some dignity from this weekends results. Tronstad back for this one
  12. https://www.reuters.com/world/india/venkys-india-swings-loss-second-quarter-weak-poultry-pricing-2025-11-07/ Largely macro factors but an 8% SP drop after a single quarter is significant. Reading the article looks as though they are (still) trying to diversify into other ventures. Rovers are one of the many that have likely failed to supplement the core business. With any business or P&L, when you get a negative top line the first thing that they will do is control the spend. We won't be seeing any investment for a while.....or, ever? Bleak times over at Venky towers. What a shame for them.
  13. A steep learning curve for some our younger players last night. The game was done and dusted after ten minutes. Three-nil down and the goalkeeper having a night to forget and at no stage did we look like making a comeback in a dismal first half. Derby added a fourth just before half-time and had completely dominated us in every area of the pitch. We did better in the second-half, but in truth, Derby had dropped off the pace with such a commanding lead. We had a few regular under-21 players missing last night - a combination of international call ups and injuries. It will be interesting to see how Vignal puts his stamp on this squad of players. It seems clear that the policy, at the moment, is to push the Under-18's into the Under-21 team as quickly as possible.
  14. Maybe not after last nights display 😉 But it would make sense, Preece spoke after Pratt was recalled of a growing relationship between Chorley & Rovers, and Barr has obvious connections
  15. Reading snippets on line apparently this is a record quarterly loss in the firms history. The Indian financial press are unconvinced about their management ability to turn things round citing reduced profitability and increasing costs. They highlight the next quarter results as a clear indicator of the firms direction. There is definitely trouble at t mill. Judging by how our club has been run it would be no surprise to see losses continue.
  16. Pickering on 15k a week would surprise me. Signed from Crewe on a relative low wage I'm guessing and only had one new contract since.
  17. They clearly don't want the scrutiny over why they are sending the money over to the UK, you can only imagine its because in the past its not all actually come to Rovers.
  18. Interestingly Billy Barr was at last night's game along with the Chorley manager Andy Preece. Expect some loan deals going though soon.
  19. There were clear parallels in that respect but the first half past night was probably the worst I have ever seen the under 21's play.
  20. There's women down at the church hall that can knock out about 100 brews in polystyrene cups in around 15 minutes lol and it's stirred!
  21. Former U23 coach Billy Barr is now the manager at Workington Reds, & has brought in former Rovers U21 Tyler Magloire to join him in the 7th tier. Without checking, I think they would know each other from their time at Rovers, and wonder if we may see a reunion of some other former U21/U23 players at Workington?
  22. You'd think so wouldn't you? Not at Ewood though!
  23. Sounds familiar to a couple of days prior.
  24. After two excellent wins the young Rovers team came back to earth with a thundering crash. 3-0 down after ten minutes with Khan having an absolute Joe Cocker. He was responsible for all three although the defending didn't help. Derby got a fourth and at half time nobody could argue with the scoreline. We were comprehensively outplayed in every area of the pitch. We didn't get near to the intensity and pace of Derby and Vignal must have been worried that his first game would end in a humiliating defeat. Rovers were much better in the second half but I believe it was also a case of Derby taking it easier. Our goal was scored by Lewis Bell who I believe was making his under 21 debut. I don't think anyone came out with any credit last night. The first half must have been an eye opener for Vignal who surprisingly didn't make any changes at half time. I know I'm repeating myself here but last night would have been perfect for Carter to get an hours fitness work in. The pace and intensity with which Derby played would have been really good for his rehab. Instead he will probably play in a sedate BCD match.
