Expect PR overdrive in the next couple of weeks with stories of how Waggott was a problem and poor old Venkys have decided to address it. No mention that they employed him for 7.5 years . The operation now will be to shield the Indians from hassle or attention so looks like Rudy or AN Other are about to be thrown forward as the latest human shield. Broughton was doing that quite well until he actually wanted to do his job and build something which was no good at all to these people. Paul Senior another, skilled in talking and putting on a show to distract from the Venky shitshow, only lasted a few months however, then they hit the jackpot with Uncle Tony. Who's next...Rudy already starting off on the back foot after the laughably bad interviews a couple of months ago.

I believe so! Ralph Macchio (?) Watched a bit of the cobra kai series (it's an absolute cheese fest ngl) and the nostalgia in it hits so hard with old film members coming back to star or cameo. Have you seen it?

Leicester haven't yet rejoined the Football League so I can only assume the authorities will threaten them with rejection and expulsion into non league. Of course not, they'll be welcomed back into the Championship, allowed to use their parachute money to run a massive wage bill and be favourites for automatic promotion again, just like last time. The system is a joke and ripe for abuse.

I mean who would care if some firm offered a few hundred grand for the women's team ? I doubt anybody would bat an eyelid in fact knowing the finances most fans would say good at least it leaves the club a few extra quid in the pot. So this 'fans would be angry' rubbish doesn't cut it at all it is imo yet another excuse for the ownership who have rebuffed even the mere suggestion of outside investment at every turn. Also happy to sit back and see big local company stand sponsorship withdraw without speaking to them and also happy to have no shirt sponsorship for a season. This blame the fans for everything narrative is now becoming a bit tedious seeing as they've never taken a blind bit of notice for 15 years in fact actively sticking their fingers up to us at times.

Under SwagHail AND Broughton they couldn't get twp incoming signings involving good money over the line. Benefit of doubt says they made cock ups although a lot would say there was more to it than that. However it still points to how amateur and odd it can still be behind the scenes at Rovers and now there is no real DoF nor experienced administrator in a CEO. To go from that to the shadow boss and his tea boy is a recipe for disaster imo regardless of feelings towards Waggot. They got away it seems with the training ground loopholes but what next if they are flailing around looking for short term money ? It's those kind of cock ups that can become very expensive and lead to points penalties that's why clubs have to pay people like Waggot in the first place.

Almost? Has been for some time now.

Champ, PL clubs approach Alalshikh for investment Championship clubs and at least one Premier League club have approached Saudi Arabian billionaire Turki Alalshikh seeking investment. The chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority has a wide range of business interests but has never invested in English football. That could be about to change with a growing number of Championship clubs attempting to attract Saudi investors to help them win promotion to the Premier League. Alalshikh has become one of the most influential powerbrokers in sport after staging some of boxing's biggest bouts. Until last week Alalshikh was also the owner of Spanish club Almeria. He bought the club in a £20m deal in the summer of 2019. Ownership of the club was transferred to Saudi investment group SMC last Friday. -

I have a feeling that may well be the Rovers TV coverage. I bought a season ticket for Rovers TV with living in Spain and was able to watch all of the league games home and away for £180. When the games were live on Sky, the coverage I got was different, as was the commentary. -

I can picture it now... Utter carnage and chaos behind the scenes. Contracts and extension offers not accepted/rescinded External bids for players accepted. Players walking away. No new incomings. U23's expected to step up. Hitting pre-season in the opposite position to what Ismael wanted. Disaster on the pitch awaits. -

Hence the first line of my previous comment Just because our players are paid below average by Championship standards. does not mean that they are not paid more than other groups we could compare them with (such as the women's team and/or normal fans) by several orders of magnitude - Today

Or if you compare it to the highest men's player getting £20k a week (according to Dugdale) when many of the women's team got £9k a year, it's easy to see why you'd think the men's squad might have a few quid to help with those legal costs. -

A stakeholder is just anyone impacted by what you do so supporters are the obvious one but it would also include staff, sponsors, local businesses, residents that live nearby. In our case its largely irrelevant as they all get equally ignored -

Waggot seems to have leaked to press that he wanted to bring in external investment to wonens team rather than bin it. Clearly not happy at copping all the blame for Suhail. -

That all depends on who we are comparing them with But if we are comparing their current financial remuneration with what they would get at any other club in the championship that has any realistic hopes of being in the mix for the top 6 next season, then yes, I agree -

It seems to be a new word that has sprung up in recent years. Fair enough communicate with supporters who ultimately pay people's wages and fund the club but not sure who counts as a stakeholder who isn't a supporter.
