  1. Past hour
  2. It's incredible to say but Dembele at centre forward was arguably PSG's best defender. Inzaghi had no answer to PSG and if ever a manager had to revert to a back up plan this was it but like so many of the modern day managers Inzaghi was unable/unwilling to do it.
  3. Parkinson was the guy i watched on a podcast recently and he spoke really well he didn't sound like a guy ready to leave Plymouth he clearly had a plan in place for the expected relegation and rebuild. Talked about the 200k plus population of Plymouth and the huge catchment area they have and his plans to build the club. I don't know whether to be worried or positive and them being after a guy like that but the reason will be he is cheap because of relegation and their small budget. What does he know about turning an ailing big championship club into a promotion contender on no budget though ???
  4. I’ve just bought a season ticket for my local cinema…23 films for £400 over the next ten months. Only thing is, the screening times can change at short notice making attendance planning quite challenging & I doubt I can make all 23. It also turns out that 15 of the advertised films to be shown will also be broadcast simultaneously on SkyCinema…that seems a bit strange but apparently all the movie chains are doing it now. Still, it’s a grand old local institution & I do like to support it. But, frankly the facilities aren’t what they used to be and many of my friends that used to go with me have lost interest so it’s not the community event it once was. They still sell all the usual stuff in the foyer but quite often there is a queue during the interval so there isn’t always time to get popcorn, a drink, go to the loo & get back to my seat in good time. It’s not the end of the world, but at the prices they charge you’d think they’d be better organised. The manager of the place quit recently after a disagreement about future strategy & they’ve brought in a bloke from France to take over. He got off to a dodgy start by showing a few arthouse French language films without even any sub-titles but he redeemed himself by showing a series of Marvel classics last month which won over many of the patrons. We are promised some more Hollywood blockbusters apparently in this next run so that will be nice but I must admit to feeling a little concerned to hear that the local film school has been engaged to produce movies…untried youngsters making their way in the industry…I mean it might work but how many George Lucases or Steven Spielbergs do you get in Blackburn? I’ll let you all know how it unfolds…👀

  6. Anticipation killing me... "Like a Puppet on a String"
  7. Was a fantastic performance by PSG and it was one step too far for Inter who had provided such entertainment in the semi final.
  8. Makes no difference who the CEO is at this club. Will be sidelined by Suhail and just need to focus on cutting costs. Also, as if a potential end to this legal case is going to prompt a desire to invest. They hadnt been even prior to the case.
  9. and before we know it,kick-off time will have come round and we'll be scrambling around to get a squad together.
  10. Yeah that tifo would have brought a tear to a glass eye. Well done PSG. Deserving winners and the best team in the competition this season by far.
  11. Hoping to, planning to, wanting to. Actions speak louder than words. Whoever gets it will last 18 months tops before they give up or jump ship due to ridiculous ways of these owners. I see Nixon is also suggesting the tax case could be resolved within the next month HOPEFULLY allowing the owners to invest. Heard all this before but at least it keeps the transfer tittle tattle flowing for the summer.
  12. I suppose that it could be but I'm not an authority on this matter. As for teacakes, there is no debate. You are either right or wrong. People saying that teacakes have currants in them are equivalent to people who claim the earth is flat.
  13. Last night was the death of Pepball IMO. PSG are so energetic, vibrant, fast, direct…no endless passing from side to side, just go straight for the jugular. I loved it & delighted for Luis Enrique. Delightful tifo after the game as well…
  14. Christ, he’ll spot quite the difference in club culture.
  15. Hmmm? I wonder, perhaps that they are now all on TV so half your ST Holders don’t bother - I.e desolate ground.
  16. Now you have done it, beware of what you start.
  17. He lives the other side of the world so how is attending games? Midweek nights have always been part of football in my time of following Rovers and Football so what's the issue?
  18. perhaps we should adopt their attitude ?
  19. Nicko reporting that Plymouth Chief Executive Andrew Parkinson is the early front runner to replace Waggott as CEO here is his CV https://www.linkedin.com/in/andrew-parkinson-349888139?utm_source=share&utm_campaign=share_via&utm_content=profile&utm_medium=android_app
  20. I don’t think the owners worry at all, they simply don’t appear to give a fuck.
  21. I only watched the PSG v Inter final because it was free and I'm really out of touch with regard to European football but I have to say that the PSG performance was as near to perfect that I have seen. Inter just couldn't live with them and couldn't get close to the pace and intensity of PSG. They were relentless. As the commentators were talking about individual players what struck me was how young the PSG players are. They could really dominate European football for some time to come.
  22. That’s the least of the owners worries.
  23. To pay staff, the leccy bill etc etc etc
  24. Why do we need to bring in significant cash? Not being reinvested anyway, is it?
