Little to get enthused about. Montgomery looks over-hyped and De Neve innocuous. We've no craft and no control. We need quality additions both urgently and in number who will walk into our starting 11.

Criminal that our squad has been left woefully short again one week out from the season opener. Happens every year though so it's no surprise. Hedges, Tyjon, Ohashi, and De Neve has surely got to be one of the weakest front 4s in the championship.

Today was always going to expose the weak spots but the main thing is get through it with no injuries the result don't really matter.

I struggle to get that excited by his potential knowing he will walk away for a very low compensation figure this summer or within the next 12 months

with the pressure game that val wants i think you need a deep squad,you can`t play a high tempo game two games a week without a lot of players

I like Tyjon and I hope he comes to great success for us and wherever he moves to next. He is not a viable replacement for Cantwell. We have looked much the poorer side so far. Nobody to knit play together in the middle. I happened to think De Neve isn’t much of a player, but I stand to be corrected and have never wanted to see anyone in blue and white do poorly. But I have the same kind of feeling about him as I did Telalovic. Seen little in the pre-season to convince otherwise. I think we’re three or four quality additions short of a mid-table squad.

When powers that be are terrified of losing grip to someone else, who might make a better job of it and expose the cack handed and possibly dodgy running of it they have been making for years, what do they do ? They always use fear spread by whatever means necessary. The willingly gullible always lap it up.
