  1. Past hour
  2. Not as easy as that Tomphil2...we all know the main problem is still there. Add ticket prices and the fact its on Sky red button and its a bad combination for attendance, always has been at Ewood.
  3. If Cantwell goes I think we need a creative attacking mid-fielder. How we would find one with our budget I struggle with.
  4. Sorry wasn't clear I just meant we would sell 1 with no replacement, agree with you. Think we will keep Robiero though as prob on cheap deal
  5. I know, I just think his comments around being knocked out in the interview the question will have definitely been asked
  6. Why would we sign a new left back? We now play a formation that doesn't call for them & we already have 2 that we don't/won't use in Pickering & Ribeiro. Imagine those in charge will be happy with Hedges & De Neve at left wing back In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if both Pickering and Ribeiro were sold (which would actually makes sense if the fees/wages were used for a right wing back/centre back/striker). But in actuality will probably just save them a few more pennies 😉
  7. Yes, money talks in any language. I wouldn’t be surprised at all.
  8. This one won’t go down well on here ! The Dave Clark Five - Glad All Over
  9. Maybe his closer to home radar will turn out to be as good as Savage’s.
  10. I can’t see anybody coming in for Tronstad given it’s supposed to be common knowledge that he want’s to return to Scandinavia. I think one of Pickering or Ribeiro could/should be sold/go out on loan.
  11. A team chock full of “ Artists “ rarely win you trophies. As a team mate of mine use to say - “ A team of Bobby Charltons would win you nothing because you’d never have the ball. “
  12. Me too, or Ribeiro. Moving Hedges there weakened us in two positions. I think you need experience in the centre half position more than most of the other positions. Good “ apprentice “ centre halves are as rare as hens teeth. Look at the lad we signed from Everton a few years ago. He looked extremely raw, now he’s played a few games he’s knocking on the door of the England team. You can have centre halves who are great in away games when you’re under siege. You’re always in the game and you’re more or less constantly in and around your own penalty area. However they can become unstuck in home games were we have the ball a lot of the time and they are positioned much further forward. You need to have much higher levels of concentration when you aren’t involved in play. That’s where the experience comes in. I like how Pratt played at Preston but it would be unwise to expect too much too soon. As it is we have no choice but to throw him in at the moment.
  13. What odds would you put on that…
  14. If we could only sign one improvement to our starting line up, what position and type of player would people like it to be?
  15. Agree entirely we aren’t arsenal, no need to try to pass it around the box which is suicidal if you haven’t got the right players and concentration which of course we won’t have we are an average championship side at best currently, hoof the ball in to row z, re compose, move on to next phase in play - suits us well Pratt seemed to play with that sense of pragmatism too, hope he kicks on for us and he becomes a mainstay of our defence
  16. Chelsea got Ballack who was also a similar type of player but again, it The idea of playing your best 11 players regardless of balance is a crazy one. England's team would be interesting going into the summer as it would mean Bellingham, Foden, Palmer, Eze, Saka and Kane all starting. We tried to fit a number of those in together under Carsley. The team was massively imbalanced and we lost to Greece.
  17. Today
  18. Of course I’m not saying that anywhere close to the announced crowd will actually be in the ground, same everywhere for midweeks these days.
  19. He didn't have treatment at the time and didn't go off. He was on his feet before the physio's had got near him. Had he been concussed the medical staff would have insisted at half time that he comes off and had we done that it would have been a concussion substitution. Only if that had happened would the protocol kick in.
  20. Well it shouldn't be should it it's time to actually support the team again now.
  21. Yeah and they would be playing off Drogba who would suit having them as two number 10s off him. Rooney would want to drop off and play the same game in the same areas as Lampard and Gerrard
  22. Only 7,700 actually went to the game vs Swansea this season, depending on the weather can see it being less than that
