  1. Past hour
  2. We genuinely don't have enough CBs on the books to play 3 at the back (consistently).
  3. Hedges still starting games is criminal. I'd also expect Gudjohnsen to quickly displace Ohashi - he'll offer far more upfront.
  4. Miller looks like a walking red card to me
  5. Is this a transfer (failed window thread) or something else start a new thread with all that talk
  6. That might explain Tavares' performance on Saturday.
  7. Transfer window has been shut less that 24 hours 🀣
  8. Let's not even go there....Bigger chickens to fry-surely!
  9. Yeah I can take throwing millions of chicks into industrial grinders, suffocating squealing pigs in co2 and tearing newborn calves from their mothers, but throat slitting is just cruel.
  10. My first thought is that with hyam gone we may revert to a back 3/5. Utilising miller and Pickering as potential wide cbs. Something like this Carter. Wharton Mcloughlin Abeliosu. Ribiero Miller. Atcheson. Pickering Gardner-hickman. De neve
  11. The trouble with this is that our reasonable anger/protests will be dismissed as mere racism. It is a dangerous side-track...(imho) They did manage to sell this line before.... Meanwhile, I am happy to go with an oppressive culture, run by an arrogant, over-promoted narcissist....but-as always- the coalition leadership must maintain focus on the disease not the symptoms...just saying...
  12. I thought Halal meat had to be slaughtered humanely.
  13. O'Grady-Mackens loan until january has been confirmed https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/september/02/harley-makes-loan-move/
  14. I think Buckley is easier to like for a particular sort of person (including me) in that he's not a typical modern footballer. He's unpredictable, highly talented and skilled in a way that you often have a hard time wrapping your head around, but also uneven and seemingly a bit lazy or dispassionate. Modern football is becoming more and more uniform by the year with players seeming more and more like robots, and Buckley stood against that.
  15. The sale of Hyam has turned this thread into the pros and cons of halal meat and wether brockhall is perhaps not a STC but a Muslim conversion centre. Fanbase is brilliant honestly🀣🀣🀣
  16. I think by the bye most supermarket meat is killed exactly the same way, just one with a prayer. If you're going ethical routes then Kosher is probably the worst. My point isn't that it is OK for Gestede and co to enforce this on the players. My point was that a random message on a message board led to people googling where the manager prays as if there is a master cabal. It makes us look bonkers and a little small town!
  17. That’s insane- so we just sign players to sell or short term contracts ! no long term vision at all
  18. In fairness, that is only true for around 12% of halal slaughter (a figure I saw recently, but I’d have to dig out a source). Overwhelmingly, halal slaughter in Britain does still involve stunning the animal. But even if the β€˜risk’ of 12% is too high for some, I’d understand.
  19. In Norway the animal has to be stunned
  20. Not at all. If it is true then for me it is a case of Gestede imposing something on people and not giving them a choice.
  21. Yep different discussion obviously but as someone who has witnessed this barbaric act there is no place for it in society in 2025 Britain it's disgusting. However to most people meat is just meat and they'll scoff it i'm sure young footballers are the same if they aren't brought up with a particular religion. Next step, oh we've got several new people who are vegan so Rudy bans all meat to save money save the planet and promote DEI !
  22. Centre Back in a back 3 yes, in a back 4 he is hopeless.
  23. slitting an animal's throat and letting it bleed to death whilst not stunned https://www.rspca.org.uk/adviceandwelfare/farm/slaughter/religiousslaughter But I will not say any more on this
