  1. Past hour
  2. Stand in the corner, face the wall and remain silent for 48hrs.
  3. Just the latest narrative created to suit across social media to cover the disappointment of yet another asset bailing for nowt. People forget the original contract talks with Broughton actually stalled because he had no agent at the time. All that was true and he wanted to sort a new one obviously before contract talks. No doubt it's a straight toss up between the new ones coming in and saying this kid has been playing for peanuts so we want a good rise and security or as is highly likely things just got shelved and never picked up again until it was too late.
  4. Right, but that’s in the future- right now, he’s playing in the top division in Spain, not a league 1 plodder or bottom end championship player at best. No need to worry about being wrong sometimes, it happens.
  5. I wouldn't mind Diaz back at Ewood, he would improve our forward line.
  6. Imagine if Dolan is a huge success at espanyol and he gets a move to real madrid or Barcelona in 2 years. I think we'll be looking back at it gutted. Who'd have thought Steven nzonzi would play for France
  7. Bet you weren't saying that, when Diaz was sticking them in the net for Rovers.
  8. I think he's class in the making, we'd have a better chance of a top 6 finish, if we could keep him for a season.
  9. 6pm UK time. I can't link the tweet right now but it's on there from this morning
  10. Well, I hope Dolan does brilliantly over there and looks back fondly on his time at Rovers as being fundamental in his development. He probably needed to move on to push his career on as his development had probably stalled/was stalling. Was he ever a top class player for us? No, certainly not for any extended period. But have we been a top team packed with quality to bring out the very best in each player, over that same period? Of course not. Despite some of the things he did on the pitch that frustrated the hell out of me, he has consistently been, for several years, a grafter and someone who seemed to give his all for this club, including keeping himself fit, injury free, and willing to try things (whatever the outcome). I'd thank him for that if I saw him at Ewood some day in the future. My eight-year-old son is really upset by his departure as Tyrhys was his hero. Partly because of the energy he showed on the pitch whenever we went to watch Rovers, but also because he was so patient and kind with young Rovers fans, like my boy, when he met them. So I'll choose to remember the good parts, of which there were many more with Dolan than with the majority of those who have "represented" the blue and white halves over the last decade or so. I'm encouraging my son to do the same. And to wish Dolan well with his move, which he has earned with his efforts and his perseverance.
  11. Last comment on the subject: let's see how much he plays before people start demanding others eat humble pie. There was great crowing about Brereton-Diaz when he signed for that Spanish team - they couldn't ship him out quick enough once they saw him in training.
  12. I do wish humble pie was on more menus on here. We all get stuff wrong from time to time, I’ll never understand why people just can’t admit when they are wrong. It’s life, it happens.
  13. Lad released from PNE after playing at Clitheroe, grafted his arse off to become a regular in the Championship from 20, now playing in La Liga at 23… still, β€˜big head’, β€˜League 1’ player, or something .
  14. Well played Joe. Hope Ricky Ponting enjoyed watching it. Apart from the ridiculous reverse sweep shots, Root's a classic Test batsman of the old school, sideways on, solid defence, plays each ball on its merits, and attacks when necessary. A joy to watch Can he keep going to overtake Tendulkar?
  15. As good a move as Dolan could make. Espanyol are no great shakes, but at least it is a top league. He wouldn't have cut the mustard in the Premier League so La Liga is a good alternative
  16. diaz is a **** as well,forgot to mention that😁
  17. Today
  18. Fifth to second in one innings. Well done Joe. Class.
  19. Does he have this massive ego that people keeping saying? Doesnt play like someone who does, cant fault his effort and dedication. Just seems to be a theory that has grown legs.
  20. The power of instagram has got him this move clearly. The prediction of League 1 in a couple of years, probably unlikely.
  21. You are bang on, Mercer! Cannot fault anyone for severe ambition(especially a footballer). No one covered the hard yards better than Dolan. The best back-tracking winger we have seen at Ewood since Ripley(IMHO). Not great going forward, but NEVER went missing which is easy for a wide player. His ambition far outweighs his quality, but that is to his credit he makes the most out of what he has got!
  22. Brilliant move for TD. He’s obviously a great lad and what an opportunity to be the player he believes he can be and to experience another culture. After watching him play 100 times at least, no one can convince me that he’s anything other than a mid championship plodder. But as I’ve said before, I’d be delighted to be wrong this time. Time to step up Ty, no hiding out there, the white hanky’s will be out before Halloween!! πŸ‘»
  23. Great opportunity for Dolan to measure just how good he is (in reality rather than in his head!). Personally, I think he'll come up short with his lack of pace and football intelligence. Don't blame him one iota for what's happened and the position he found himself in with Rovers. If he looks after both himself and his money, he's probably gone a long way to setting himself up for life. Buena suerte y adios !
