  1. Past hour
  2. Certainly well done to those who put in a great effort. Superb idea. But I'm not convinced they'll sack him, they are too stubborn and proud. Nor am I convinced that sacking him would mean the end of them---for the same reasons. But it would be some sort victory for us to celebrate if only short -term. I think it'll be the financial situation that will finally do for them and they'll clear off when we are in a lower division and crowds have dwindled further. More misery to come I believe.
  3. If the half’s had have been reversed I would have bought that shirt. Apart that grievous error I like it.
  4. and not reinvest the money 🤣
  5. De Neve doesn't need one, and Ohashi will be converted to GBE based on minutes played last season. Andy Watson missed out Mafoumbi who I think would still need a place, along with Toth and Kargbo. So if that's the case it would be one spot available. De Keersmaecker wouldn't need a spot, but Al Sahafi and Terho would need one.
  6. And the fact it's not a Rovers kit sits where on this list?
  7. I am pretty convinced, that if Pasha goes, it will be game over for the owners. As you have pointed out, he is the one feeding back to the owners and has tried to hide some of the unrest from them and made things out, to be a whole lot healthier than they are. More people are aware that he does not like publicity and it has been posted on here, that he actually fled the building, when a fans meeting, involving him, was due to get underway. He avoided getting involved in any of the fan meetings, until he was shamed into attending one and I think the tactic of focusing on him, is a good one. For anyone prepared to criticise, fine, as it won't suit everyone, as these things never do, but fairs fair, anyone criticising,, needs to put as much effort into their ideas too, as sitting back and criticising others, but but nothing yourself, is without doubt less effective in getting our club back.
  8. Like De Neve, this guy looks like he has some attributes to work with but will need to work hard on the technical side of things to be at Championship level. Nothing wrong with that but that would make 2 signings that are unlikely to be up to speed until mid-way (or beyond) the season. I know this is the clubs plan (buy potential, get them up to speed, sell them and not reinvest the money) but it would shape up to be another season of nothing, as we'll just be developing players for the other clubs.
  9. I think I read that De Neve doesn’t need one due to how many games he played in the Belgian top division. De Keersmaecker wouldn’t need one either I believe due to his contributions in the Eredivise. I might be completely wrong!
  10. Didn't we get 4 ESC slots on the back of how many English / home grown players we were playing? Can't imagine we still qualify for 4 looking at the current squad.
  11. I think you’re right that neither of those factors matter. He was probably just forgotten about. If he is an ESC player it’s certainly seems a waste of a space.
  12. It’s ok, average, nothing special. Not great; not terrible. I’d rate it at 3.6 roentgen
  13. I have no idea, but I doff my cap to those who have done this, as sitting back and doing nothing, is not an option, so anyone prepared to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in, has to be admired, not criticised, surely.
  14. ESC Slots become important though, per Andy Watson, Toth and Kargbo both use a slot, as will De Neve, so we would only have one slot left, not even counting Mafoumbi, who we will surely get rid of if he is using a slot. But surely De Keersmaecker, Al Sahafi and even Terho would all use an ESC slot, so we could only get one of them, in which case I would want De Keersmaecker. Unless somebody knows a way to circumvent the 4 slots or one of them qualifies another way.
  15. Saudi lad currently away in the states with the national team. They are playing in Texas on Thursday and again in Nevada on Monday. If we do have an arrangement with his club in place (he fits the bill for our recruitment policy and I think he would probably jump at the chance of the spotlight England offers) then it will most likely be the back end of next week that he becomes available. Will be another low risk signing on low wages. He’s a good age and one decent season in the championship will see his value rise.
  16. It's simple, IT'S CALLED AMBITION and emanates from the ownership. I think it's clear, Wrexham as a club are everything Rovers are currently not. Feckin Wrexham!!! Stop bellyaching and start accepting reality. Jack will be spinning in his grave.
  17. It’s a nice shirt. And in any other year would have zero complaints minus the inability to remember our halves should be reversed on the back. However, I can’t be alone in thinking they had built this up to be a special shirt to celebrate 150 years. I was expecting this to be very different, just like the beautiful Port Vale strip this year. Yes, they will clearly release a special anniversary shirt at some point and the team will use it for one game but it should have been our shirt for the entire season. 150 years is a hell of a milestone to reach. Overall decent shirt, disappointed the only thing special about it is in the collar at the back of the neck. A real missed opportunity.
  18. So no, you dont see a pattern, its just an unfortunate series of individual circumstances. And no, there isnt any blame on the club. And no, there isnt any blame on not getting PROPER contract offers in earlier. And even though none of these players seem willing to sign new deals. It isnt to do with us not providing satisfactory financial offers, they wouldnt have signed anyway.
  19. Today
  20. You need to take each player situation into this. BBD didn't want to sign a new contract but JDT and GB didn't want to sell him. Similar with Dolan who Eustace and Rovers were happy to keep last season and GB tried for 18 months to get him to sign new contracts and he didn't. Nyambe, I wouldn't be offering him a contract and as we seen Brittain he is twice the player he was. Lenihan was offered good contract by us but choose to seek a move elsewhere.
  21. None of which has any bearing on the amount they would be willing to pay Travis.
  22. Wrexham owners are much more involved and across all areas of the club whether its the men team or the woman team, The Wrexham documentaries are a good insight but also what their owners are involved within the community of Wrexham and the fan base of the club. That what we lack as our owners, the understanding of the local area, community, fan base and the club is the biggest asset in Blackburn and it should be driven the local area and being massively involved. Driving local projects or engaging with local people on the contracts, we need to sign up the big 3 players and get them new long term contracts. I would be offering Brittain a new 4 year contract, Tronstad 3 years contracts and Travis a 3 year contracts on around 18k to 22k each players which would pick them on being the nigher earners on the club I reckon with Todd Cantwell.
  23. Good for them. But, given the money we've received for players we've sold, we've got the money to match or go beyond these numbers. It's the fault of our owners that we don't. Wrexham are what it looks like when you try. Rovers are what it looks like when you don't.
