  2. Well that last part is definitively not true. The first part is right though.
  3. "Sunderland AFC is delighted to announce the appointment of Rรฉgis Le Bris as Head Coach."
  4. Ismael must love the ball coming back at us time after time.
  5. That's abysmal. It's one thing if the story leaks before the player is informed, it's another thing to announce it publicly, in any forum let alone social media, before the very simple task of informing the player. Basic decency. Expect us to follow suit.
  6. Anyone heard if this is to be the same for 25/26? In a landmark commitment, the EFL and Sky committed to providing fans and clubs up to five monthsโ€™ notice of TV selections, an increase from the five weeks' notice given across the majority of the 2023/24 season. Within seven days of the EFL Fixture Release Day, all matches selected for broadcast for the period to the end of September were announced, and before a ball was kicked in August, all TV selections were confirmed for the period up to the FA Cup third round in early January 2025. In November 2024, selections were made in respect of all matches played between the end of the third round proper of the FA Cup and the first weekend of March 2025.
  7. When you googled it would have also told you how to use the word in a sentence. It makes no sense how youโ€™ve used it. Trying to be a smart arse about attendances didnโ€™t quite work out for you.
  8. not many so far, didn't announce their ST prices till this week. My friends who are PNE supporters will renew but ain't rushing to do it, couple of days before the deadline never mentioned whether it was right or wrong, but as I rightly said all football clubs do it and the reasons behind it to get cash flow into the club during the summer months when there is no matches on. Preston ain't big spenders either and my supporters would like a different head coach in charge and change of tactics and squad. Plus they have just lost 2 Key players on a free in Woodman and Riis
  9. Iโ€™d rather Stockport, just for another local away game next season.
  10. Yes Gav, it was. There are some similarities with Rovers here. Northcote had been owned by the Egyptian millionaire owner of the Stafford Hotel in London for a good few years. For a while they have had a plan to build a new building there to house a find dining restaurant and convert the current main restaurant to a more affordable bistro type place. The planning permission was got but the owner wouldn't pay for it. Northcote went up for sale and Craig found buyers willing to both pay for the hotel and the work to be done but then the Egyptian refused to sell as he wanted more money. There was a frustrating impasse until Lisa announced she was leaving. I don't know that this was the case but I suspect she "left" to encourage the owner to realise that he could easily lose a lot of value if he wasn't careful. As well as Lisa quite a lot of the other staff left as well - I don't know whether they have mostly come back as well. we haven't been since a night at Obsession in January.
  11. That goal for Orient was a mile offside
  12. the update on the Stanley situation Facebook
  13. Today
  14. i think he found his level at chesterfield tbh
  15. very good overall game but I like the Sunderland's head coach approach to the game. Will be interesting what Lampard does second leg on Tuesday, I would be tempted to go 4-4-2 and play Simms and Thomas-Asante up front
  16. As expected to be honest He has only been a bit part player for them in the past month. Hasn't even got off the bench in the past 2 games. Seems not to be trusted against the better sides in the division, and also not trusted if they are holding on to a lead, so would only expect to see him in the play offs if they are behind & need a late goal
  17. you want 2 players for each players. Pickering and Ribeiro are both similar quality deffo agree there
  18. Markanday is only on the bench at Leyton Orient
  19. a couple of friends who are PNE supporters don't agree with the decision and the dreadful way he found out I wouldn't sign him cos I think we need a striker with pace and movement which Riis doesn't fit for me.
  20. good luck mr cairney, you`ll need it working with this lot of planks, one bit of advice, don`t be good at the job, thats a sure way to get sacked here at rovers๐Ÿ˜
