  1. Past hour
  2. His family moved to England when he was a couple of months old, where he lived for 20 years
  3. In what world do you win the toss and field first in those conditions?
  4. Today
  5. The Human League - Don’t You Want Me?
  6. The point was values can deteriorate rapidly, and there have been plenty others. I just used an easy to understand Rovers example. Another one might be Rodwell, had about 25 mill of fees he had moved for, probably equivalent to 50 mill now. Came here for free, and not because he had forced his club's hand but cos they didn't want him. I already agreed this guy is out of our reach, I'm just saying his move last summer is considerably more relevant.
  7. It will be interesting to see if there is a piece with a Portugese journalist in the Telegraph to give us more detail about what we are getting. It was Tavares' first full season from what I can see of his senior career and he only started 15 and completed 2 games which is a bit surprising as a central midfielder. Ability aside, it would surely be a big ask to expect him to play week in week out in the Championship all of a sudden. It has the feel of a project signing, they both do. Tavares has played very little senior football really and couldnt maintain a regular spot, and De Neve often played at full back and it seemingly was a bit of a surprise that we signed him. Hopefully they will be accompanied by more proven players and we have seen some attributes that suit what we want to do and allow then to really kick on.
  8. Yesterday
  9. I hope he's good with languages if he goes to Poland. Polish is hard to comprehend, read or speak.
  10. Would love to try a midfield trio of the three Ts but do think Travis gone is more than likely a done deal
  11. Which of Travis or Tronstad is going now Tavares has signed? We know we don't do squad depth.
  12. I’m quite happy with the Tavares signing. Good age and has played in England for the majority of his life so knows the English leagues. Not played many games as a pro but hopefully he just needs to push on. Stature wise he looks a perfect championship midfielder.
  13. Birmingham will be at the upper end of the table. They had a championship quality squad last season with a Β£15m striker to boot!
  14. Kean really does have one of those faces
  15. It should be a bannable offence posting a picture of that detestable cretin (no, not Robbie Cotton) Have some decency and blur his fucking face or something
  16. Being touted for a price and actually sold for a price are two different things entirely. Cantwell went for less than 2million and this fella has over 30million worth of transfer fees paid for him he will play in a top division and his wages let’s not even get started on those
  17. That means nothing, Cantwell was being touted at 20 million a few years ago too. What matters more is what Forest paid for him, which was only a year ago. Which as far as I can see was 11 million Euros, plus potentially 4 mill in add ons. He hasn't played for them even once, so those add ons won't have been hit. There is also a 10% sell on clause, dunno if that's after profit or what, but could affect an asking price too if it's on any amount. They immediately loaned him out to Olympiakos, which makes it a bizarre signing given his age, but Forest do seem to like to buy people for no reason. But yes at that figure it seems highly unlikely they would sell him to us, as there's no way we could give them even half their money back. A loan, however, might not be beyond the realms of possibility.
  18. Family moved to Leicester from Portugal when he was 9 months old.
  19. Could be we’re planning to play 3-5-2
  20. Lived in Leicester since he was a kid then joined their academy aged 9
  21. Nonsense. That's exactly the sort of small minded mentality that those who purportedly run our club have.
  22. Under this lot, never, obs. However, many of us can remember the days right back to the 70s when there was a plan, much less money to go round, far less ego, and much more of a focus on doing the best for the club and the town. The venksters don't even pretend to be interested in the club anymore, and are a blight on the name of football in this country. VENKSTERS OUT!
  23. The people at the club now are just ignorant to the local market and too spineless to present anything radical to the owners in case it threatens their own position. The only focus is squeeze and ever dwindling fanbase to the max to ensure a certain static level of income per season. There have been multiple missed opportunities to get thousands back in overnight and at certain times the finances would've allowed it. There is zero real desire for it though in head office. To achieve the gates we did under the Souness/Hughes/Allardyce era we still had to price tickets very competitively because quite simply that is what the local market required it was the only way it would work. If these lot were in charge then we'd be averaging about 18k given their attitude to pricing. It was just the same for Wigan and Bolton by the way, just as it still is now so anyone who constanly cries about crowds and we don't get 20k a home game like we used to because 'shit fans' seriously has a hole in head and a grape where their brains should be. It was never happening at this level and certainly not the way the clubs been run.
