Toth is a league above Pears, who was a league above Wahlstedt. -
Inspired by the sister forum, I thought we were also due a thread on migrants activity in Blackburn. On that basis, the rules are below: Blackburn Rovers best 11, but you can only have 1 player from each country. E.g. no Neil and Emerton! I have taken inspiration from Big Val and gone for a 5-2-3. Showing my generation, and putting some faith in the engine of some players.. Raya (ESP) Emerton (AUS) Samba (CON) Nelson (NZL) Givet (FRA) MGP (NOR) Tugay (TUR) Jermaine Jones (USA) Duff (ROI) Shearer (ENG) Bellamy (WAL) As a bonus round, I'd also like to see the worst XI

Rosenborg look to be signing Wahlstedt from AGF for €500k. Making a loss on the €1m they paid Rovers. -

Agreed, some of the best away performances came form playing that way with more of a press and then counter type style whilst trying to keep possession for periods as well. This all out relentless press that hes switched too just isn't working for a number of reasons. Get back to using the ball and playing a bit of football with the help of a better suited system with players doing what they can manage. It's becoming as daft as JDT's relentless total football from your own penalty area. But whilst it isn't as wide open at the back it is creating nothing whatsoever up top. -
It's as much the strength of the bench as the first 11, nobody is getting a rest,Ohashi being the most obvious example. Morishita is a big miss.

The push on Ohashi looked just outside the box so VAR would have been no help in that instance, plus it'd definitely have given them a pen for the foul by Cashin -

Reminiscent in looks of a shorter Grant Hanley and play when Hanley at his worse. At his best, Hanley 10 times the player Cashin is. -

Head coaches don't have the gumption for that kind of old school manager think. They have a formation blueprint and stat sheet for themselves and the opposition from their team of ipad men and they follow that. their idea of thinking out the box is play a new young midfielder up front because his running stats are good and if he gets Championship mins his value will increase. If he does well there and scores or assists it'll go up even further. Rinse and repeat for LWB, RWB etc, that's all that matters. -

I wonder who decides enough is enough? Rudy will drag his heels because he is one of his own. Plus it makes his position flaky. Problem is that if we bin Ishmael then we will only pick up an out of work manager who will want assurances and a hefty bonus to keep us up. And there is a reason they are out of work All money we apparently don’t have. That’s before the long term contract pay off money for “Ish” and his team. -

If we are so obliged to play Henriksson and De Neve etc, it's frustrating that we continue to not play to their '1 trick'. I'm not saying build a team around them, but De Neve's 1 outlet is to out pace a man and put a cross in yet. Henriksson is pressing players etc. Seeing as we intended to start the season with a 4 at the back, you'd think sitting deeper and hoping we play in the break with pace (including new lad) and battle for the ball (Ohashi and Henriksson) would suit more. The more adept footballers like Tronstad, Cantwell and Baradji could work to that where as currently we're asking limited footballers to adapt to them and it's killing us -

Desperate form and horrific injury crisis, relegation looming, and Rudy's "exciting plan" is two signings, one of whom is a loan we have to play even if he is crap. Jorgenson seems a decent prospect (by our standards at least), he made more runs in the channel in his 30 minutes against Ipswich than the rest of the team combined over the season (only a slight exaggeration sadly) and has some pace which is good. Might be more a wide-forward than a central striker but could mesh well with Ohashi (similar) and Gudjohnson central. Cashin had a horrible debut, no question, and while he may be talented and just need nurturing, the signing is unbelievably stupid. We are forced to play him ahead of Pratt who is younger, faster, taller, and on the basis of season so far a better CB, and most important actually our player. The signing is actively detrimental, thanks Rudy. I said at the start of the window we didn't need a CB, for all our lack of goals our defence has been ok, and Carter is about to be back giving us McLoughlan, Miller, Carter, Pratt, Atcheson, Litherland which is not ideal but manageable. A replacement for Hyam, who we should never have sold, was only CB I would have been interested in, and Cashin is the exact opposite of that; short and slow, not tall and injury proof. Offloading Gueye was good, but why do we still have Ribeiro and Pickering who Ismael refuses to play? Why not offload them and bring in an actual Wing-Back while Hedges is crippled, and before he leaves on a free when he gets better (shades of Weimann?), because De Neve is the worst positional player I have ever seen in both attack and defense. I said in the match thread god only knows why Kortrijk kept him and loaned out Alebiosu. CM remains an issue as well, Tronstad has checked out and we refuse to resign him, again god knows why (oh wait yeah our ridiculous self-imposed wage cap; thanks our Billionaire owners), TGH and Forshaw are not good enough and neither should have been signed. Baradji has talent but missed half the season and looks better further forward than CM proper. Henriksson has been another awful Gestede signing, a shame that one as he seemed a decent prospect when we signed him in summer. Then again, I keep forgetting we support a club run for Suhail's bonus not success on the field... -
