Yep, ridiculous decision, and even more scandalous that 3 members of the panel were allowed to abstain. I hope we appeal on a point of principle, it might not make any difference to the actual outcome but the situation is completely untenable. As for any replay as Sir Alf said at the end of 90 mins in 1966 "You've beaten them once, just go out and do it again." -

the silly old ***** at efl towers have now made a rule that is destined to be abused a crucial match is going on and the home side are losing narrowly,it`s coming up to 70/80 minutes played option 1 the floodlights go off and the club electrician has disapeared option 2 there is a fire alarm option 3 club stooge fakes illness and collapses option 4 home fans decide they want to stop the game and start a pitch invasion option 5 the pitch sprinklers suddenly spring to life and unsurprisely can`t be switched off now the silly old duffers have made an example of us,they`ll have to do the same for everyone, football behind the scenes is devious,if a club facing relegtion or looking like getting promoted can manipulate the event, they will -

There you go trying to defend the indefensible again. Surely we should be judging our infrastructure against sides at a comparable level not bloody Fylde and Southport? -

That's true of the top 4 divisions but there were two local games in the National league North abandoned, at AFC Fylde and Southport. Curiously on their websites, to date, Southport have said that their game will be replayed and there is no decision from Fylde yet as far as I can see. A replay for Fylde would be particularly harsh as they were 4-0 up although the game was abandoned when a pass across the penalty area stopped in the water and allowed a tap in. -

I believe they sent him to see a specialist as he felt something in training and they want to get to the bottom of it. -

Carter’s starting to make Vince Grella look healthy in comparison. Shame for him and the club but his body clearly isn’t cut out for professional football. -

I’ll never forget that 3-2 game in 2004. Was over for my 30th. Had a real good time in the pub before the game and it was indeed a game to remember for all the wrong reasons. Heartwrenching when that 3-2 went in. Great away support on the day as well! So the day and time of reckoning has come at last! Please please please beat this lot 3-2 with the final goal in injury time. Make their keeper come up to score an equalizer then squash their hopes with a silky finish. COYB! -

Saying it's a fair outcome because of the pitch and drainage makes no sense. It plays no factor in the decision. If we had been down to 10 and Ipswich had been 1 up, then the outcome would have been the same. Full replay. And if it wasn't the same (and we'll never know), then the EFL is corrupt. Our pitch and drainage meets the regulations of the league, so it doesn't matter. If the EFL wants to use the standard of the pitch as a whole as a factor, then they have to change the pitch regulations and force our owners to spend money on it. -

To be hoped the EFL don't take a look at Test and County Cricket Board where clubs have points deducted for sub standard pitches. -

Id be furious if we were playing at Ipswich 1-0 up with an extra man, and this situation occured, and it would have been incredibly unfair. But as its our own lack of drainage is fundamentally the issue i can't complain too much. Whats very weird about it is the root cause (Ewood parks lack of drainage) has no reference in the guidelines. If they are redrawing the guidelines i can easily see that in future instead of a replay the home side may forfeit all the points if they cant provide a fit playing surface. That would seem the logical thing to do. Every other game in Yorkshire and the Northwest managed to complete despite similar levels of rain. -

No doubt, Ipswich are allocated 10,000 tickets for the replay, and ride away on their tractors with the 3pts. El happy Ipswich happy, and fuck rovers will be their message.
