  1. Past hour
  2. Its good that Travis's replacement has signed already and here. Looks hope he is ready after the international break. Loan to buy is sensible move given what we know about why he failed a medical a few weeks ago. On Travis leaving, its a shame he is going but most people thought he would go this summer. Don't get why Derby but its his choice. Eustace factor I guess. Well, its got busy later in the day and Nixon will do a story on a winger on Sunday who is turning on Travis? Didn't you think he would leave this summer given the Eustace links and he had 12 months left on his contract Yes I did and people did ridiculed me. I think its a very smart move by Ismael but also given Cantwell trust and leadership of the head coach.
  3. In recent years this is a game I’d look at and think, a definite point to gain and no reason not to go for all three and full optimism and belief going into it excited to watch the game. There is no excitement for tomorrow or optimism, expecting us to be marginally beat by another team who will likely be fighting to avoid relegation alongside us
  4. It was 18 million. That is not a big fee, it's paid over his contract so he signs a 4 year deal less than 5 million is going on that seasons books. If there was zero doubts about him then bigger teams would have been in for him at the 18 million not waiting until the summer and paying 30 Also do many clubs make world class talents available for such little fees in january usually they add a premium ffs?.There was an opportunity there to get a top talent for peanuts really but nobody bit apart from Palace.
  5. It all clicks tomorrow 3-0 Rovers! Watch this space
  6. Adding 5 million to their books for that year would have made them fail Psr? Imo he would have gone in the summer anywhere for between 22-25 million. I think his talent is worth more but I genuinely think its pie in the sky to think we would have been receiving bids of 30 million for him a few months after teams could have bought him for 18. Wrongly I agree but Archie Gray had a bigger reputation than Adam Wharton and again I know some think it means fuck all but Gray played all age groups for England was in the under 21s at 17 or 18 years of age and had been involved in a Leeds squad in the prem. Dibling was a bright spark for Southampton last season in the Premier league hence the ridiculous price tag If we had been in the Premier league and got relegated with Adam Wharton and he showed the quality he had done for us in the championship then we would have been getting massive bids
  7. IT - WAS - JANUARY. Go research the top 10 fees paid by teams in the Prem in Jan 2024. Then look at the top 10 fees paid that summer. Premier League clubs spent just £96.2m on new signings during the January 2024 window - the lowest winter spending in three years, with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) slashing clubs' spending power. In the summer practically every club bought at least 2 players for over £10mill. Some were buying multiple players over £20million. Premier League clubs splashed £2.08bn on new signings during the summer window - not quite hitting the record-breaking £2.44bn spent last year. £96.2mill in Jan. £2.08bn in summer. Still think we wouldn’t have got much more?
  8. Amazed reading the LET comments about Trav leaving…. Has to be plants. a player who bled blue and white and did work hard for the badge - not a mutinous snake if those views resemble even a portion of the views of the wider fanbase we really have hit a low point in humanity and mental capabilities. As soon as a player or manager leaves now suddenly everyone is a greedy snake who we should be glad to be rid of…
  9. rudi loves himself so much he wants every guy in the squad to look like him, anyone who has`nt got the rudi look will be banished, pears and buckley to go next, far to white and short🙂
  10. Its a bloody poor do StHelensRover imo...they are quick to turn up at Ewood to be honoured though! 🤔
  11. Nyambe as right wing back?
  12. Cantwell is now the club captain, smart move by Ismael. Our best player
  13. Rumours are there about why he wasn't picked on Saturday and that he hasn't been at the club all week, Its non-issue now he is on the way to Derby Rovers I like Ismael answering the question he was asked by the media. Why shouldn't he be? Was Travis throw under the bus? not for me 100%
  14. Tronstad will be gone by the end of the year, McLouglin is just through the door. Cantwell is the only viable option, the other have been sold or released.
  15. McLoughlin just joined and Tronstad won't get picked as captain with his deal nearing its end as well.
  16. Using funds in January, FFP/PSR cycles mean that less money is available for clubs to spend in mid season as they have already done the bulk of their spending during the summer Which is why you do not sell in January unless you are offered silly money
  17. I know what the EFL and Sky deal is. Long midweek away means fans can't make them so having them on TV does make sense. Clubs could offer cheaper ticket prices for home midweek games and tbh, I enjoyed watching the game live inside a stadium but unfortunately I go to midweek away games due to work reasons. Alot of fans are in similar position to myself. I understand some fans are inconvenient by changing of kick off times.
  18. derby ar`nt very good and don`t look like scoring, wieman has been shockingly bad
  19. Spurs could have done the Wharton deal in January instead of Palace tho? What was stopping them?
  20. Or Spurs may have spent that £30M on Wharton rather than Gray
  21. Keep the faith?
  22. Not really. Both Tronstad and Mclouglin would be a good captains,
  23. Someone else said something on here recently that made me sad when I thought about it - None of our legends or cult heroes from the last 3 decades have done anything to speak up about the plight of the club and it is disappointing. Our fans were absolutely savaged by the media during the Kean era and we've become an afterthought and a backwater since we dropped out the prem, no one cares about what has happened. I think the closest thing to any sort of dissent maybe occasionally comes from Chris Sutton, but we're only his 4th or 5th favourite team after Forest, Norwich and Celtic so he's not that bothered.
  24. He's at Ewood watching the game saw someone post it on X. Does this result keep our record up of every Rovers side at every level losing all there games so far this season?
  25. More interest I agree with but I honestly think it would have been clubs like Palace and other mid to lower teams bidding for him and iv said we would have got a bit more but not the 30 mill + that some on here seem convinced by I think there was something about him that was putting the big boys off...there was an article about Newcastles interest but they didn't follow through with there interest as they had doubts over him.
