I did not personally rate him but I know some did, and I always have time for an academy lad/fan of the club. Even JRC/Buck/Trav were Rovers lads and probably needed purged because of that, regardless of a debate over their quality. When I was told about that around the time Waggott left, I was told it was a verbal agreement between Rovers (Waggott) and Adidas/Gary Aspen himself. When Rovers (I would guess Pasha?) kaboshed it, I supposed it broke the proverbial straw with Waggott because he resigned about 2 weeks later.
