  1. Past hour
  2. Fair enough, I read that the other way! My cock up. Like I say they should be encouraging folk and do it as a long term plan. To me it’s a great opportunity to try something now there are 8 Saturday matches set in stone to work with, to counteract season ticket holders being annoyed I wouldn’t give any entitlement to away ticket purchase etc. Maybe there’ll be some flexi card thing again. Anyway we all know the score with it all now, most of the negatives stem from tv ultimately as well as the obvious.
  3. At barely 9k ST's they need three thousand walk ups to just hit the hardcore 12k figure before away fans and i can see that being a tricky ask beyond the first game unless the form is good. 12.30 kick offs are the pits.
  4. Ludwig Van Beethoven - Symphony Number 6 In F Major (pastoral)
  5. I was going on what I read in the LT, if those figures are correct, it could be something like last seasons average. Hopefully higher if we have a decent season.
  6. Atmosphere should be better, more sales of booze and food are what I would point to. Lot of variables - far from as simple as one size fits all to me.
  7. Yes the priority is obviously pay wages, tax, bills but don't bother too much about team investment etc unless there is a bit of surplus from sales. Chicken industry principles - pre covid/Ukraine - where i presume minimum investment enabled maximum output = big profits from sheer volume of sales. They've been trying to create that here for a long time on 3 year cycles imo. Pity they don'y apply the same idea to season tickets.
  8. They get £20m for Hackney...we got £20m for Wharton who will become one of the best midfielders in the prem. Oh to be a well run club. And barely a penny of the Wharton money re-invested whereas I bet Boro re-invest 50-75% of that fee.
  9. No, but Boro get what their players are worth (and then some), and then reinvest it Rovers under Venky's Are the polar opposite of that
  10. To be fair, a few may have said that about Tosin, James Hill, Van Hecke etc when they came on loan
  11. I held back getting my Rovers TV season ticket expecting to buy the Nejmegen coverage at the same time... Fans are banned and still no sign of the match deal. Of course I could be naughty and post this https://tickets.nec-nijmegen.nl/dashboard but I am far too well behaved to even consider doing so. "Ik kom niet uit Blackburn" Probably the stiffest test as NEC kick off the same time as we are at West Brom so a solid mid table Eredevise side with no excuse for having extra weeks at the beach when/if we beat them unlike Everton and Elche. I no doubt will be corrected and am almost certainly hexing us but I cannot recall a 100% pre-season win record before. We came preciously close to a 100% loss record not too long ago. And facing three teams from top leagues is also almost unheard of pre-season these days. So somebody can do a back flip to show off his naff back tattoo. NEC have two Japanese centre forwards and their keeper and right winger are rated. Should be a very decent test for VI's boys with the starting XI at the Hawthorns likely to be on display... If Rovers TV ever wake up!
  12. Jeez how is that kid worth £20 mil? Is he a similar level to Wharton🤦🏻‍♂️
  13. I think the official attendance figures will still tell the story as fans will have had to have made an actual decision to buy one this summer on the back of last season’s ridiculous number of moves - if they still have, but don’t come to half 12 KOs, so what? The clubs would say, money in the bank from you and Sky, ta very much.
  14. Plenty of players. But everyone has to chip last season. If Ohashi stays fit I think he will get 15 goals It's a crazy bid to be honest for Hackney. They sold Latth for £20m and they didn't buy a proper replacement From everything Ismael has said he is very happy and wants 2 or 3 more signing. He wants certain profile of player and Rovers seemingly have match that.
  15. The £20 discount for a 'few weeks' was clearly in regard to the early bird Season Ticket. As for the rest i understand your point entirely but stand by my response, it doesn't work to any noticeable degree unfortunately. Yes it would be great for some who intend to attend all these matches but from the clubs point of view it's cutting off it's nose to spite it's face as most of those who want to go will go anyway and just pay full whack. If it could pull hundreds extra in per game it would make sense but it just pisses off season ticket holders most of whom have had price rises. They certainly should try and come up with something though we'll agree on that there are set to be some shocking turnouts and in some cases the away followings will be impacted as well.
  16. Yeah that is true. I would like to see the actual attendance announced though, as in people through the gates - covers up the truth a bit. Also I know a fair few who have moved to the Riverside at £299 from JWU simply as it was the cheapest option, a few actually only did it on the last day of sales at that price having been very close to not buying one full stop.
  17. Meant to be Ipswich for 20 million
  18. He wants first team football - when everyone's fit he'd be 5th choice. Can't see that one coming off.
  19. If the service improves they'll score more goals. Getting the starting RWer right is crucial.
  20. Probably! Must be class supporting a Club that reinvests the money from player sales
  21. I am in the same situation.
  22. I know they seemingly have lots of money but it's taken them 18 months to pass the EFL test, it's also unclear as to where any of their wealth comes from. Again, lots of dissolved companies and live companies with no obvious earnings. I can make guesses as to where the money comes from or their reasons for wanting to buy a business that you could argue was easy to hide/introduce money into, but neither of those guesses would I be willing to share on a public forum though if you catch my drift. The phrase frying pan and fire springs to mind
  23. WOW! Payment went through first time after the dozen+attempts to subscribe for the Spanish double.
  24. Looks like Boro have accepted a bid for Hackney - might mean they push for Brittain.
  25. Today
  26. End of the day the proof of the pudding will be ST sales (and attendances in general) across the division. My gut feel is the clubs have got away with it.
