  1. Past hour
  2. No that's helpful thanks, wasn't so much me expexting a Rovers farce as it just being a bit close to the wire, especially when it usually goes through the various tiers of sale based on points too - not that it will be a sell out!
  3. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2026/january/05/injury-update--ryan-hedges/ Ismael seems to be suggesting we’ll only look for a Hedges replacement if he’s out for more than 8 weeks.
  4. If he was the next big thing at that age why wasn't he picked for the England age group teams as an academy player ? He had to wait until he was playing first team football.
  5. Not much happening then? I've honestly no idea where we're looking to strengthen, targets, budget etc. Can't recall ever feeling as disconnected with the Club as I have this season, just doesn't feel like the Blackburn Rovers i've always known and loved. Expect they'll sell anyone worth a few quid this window... Alebiosu, Tronstad and Tyjon seem likely to go. If they choose to even replace them, it'll no doubt be cheap foreign dross or loan players other Clubs don't want. The current state of the Club saddens me, relegation seems pretty much nailed on.
  6. 🙏 Hopefully they move for club legend Wayne Rooney as their new gaffer.
  7. Swansea put theirs on sale about 45 minutes ago - I know that doesn’t help you much but maybe for once the delay isn’t us 😁😁
  8. Therein lies part of the problem though. Who do we see as having a long term future at Rovers ?
  9. Imagine being fired by the genius thst is Jason Wilcox ! It looks like he’d had enough and told Wilcox his future. Maybe he wanted to be fired ? Who’s next for the hot seat ? The problem is endemic at Utd. It won’t matter who they get in next. It’s a bit like us with the Chicken Chokers
  10. Given that EVs are now already considerably cheaper than ICE cars for anyone who has access to charging either at home and/or work, if this development comes off it's pretty much a death knell for ICE vehicles.
  11. Ditto me & my daughter, both ST holders. As they say, when the fun stops, stop.
  12. Whilst it was in the PL, I think The Walker Trust years are (to a point) proof of this.
  13. We need both loans and permanent signings. However, loans should be used to cover injured players in the short term, particularly if we see those injured players as part of our long term future.
  14. I've said this before but Pasha's line about the academy not knowing he was that good is absolute tosh, from U14 onwards everyone knew he was a joke of a player and was talked about across north west academies as the next big. It's just another lie from Pasha.
  15. Anyone know when Swansea tickets go on sale? Just a couple of weeks away now and not a word on the website. Unless they also went off sale before Christmas...
  16. Couldn't agree more with all of this. I particularly think your last point is hugely relevant. Having blank weekends for internationals is a ridiculous state of affairs. When a club like City is having to fill its bench with kids because of long term injuries there is little hope for the rest of us. It seems internationals and European Competitions have become far more important that the bread and butter of League football. The F.A. Cup has already been ruined by this approach and it seems a number of clubs are paying the price of long term injuries because the league programme is being squeezed due to these blank weekends.
  17. Given the circumstances regarding injuries, not just to Rovers but other club are suffering albeit not to the same extent, either the international breaks want sorting out or the 25 man squad limit does. Players are being flogged.
  18. As soon as he came out with those comments the other day it became clear he'd had enough and was asking to be sacked. Sounds like all was not well between him and Jason Wilcox. The fact that he changed system to 4 at the back, beat Newcastle, and then reverted back to his 3-4-3 system for no apparent reason was just dumb.
  19. Unfortunately we have nothing in reserve at either wing back, or up front
  20. When you looked at the squad and the respective skill sets going to 3 at the back with Alebiosu and Hedges as wing backs was a pretty obvious move to make. Plus it allowed us to play Ohashi and Gudjohnsen as a pair when neither of them were really good enough to play up front on their own.
  21. Taxi for Amorim at the red rats.
  22. Man Utd have sacked Amorim
  23. It's slim pickings as a 2, you'd have to be looking at McLoughlin and O'Riordan I think. We may as well count Wharton and Carter out for the season at this stage such is their (unfortunate) injury history. Sadly neither of their bodies is capable of having a system built around them.
  24. He played a back 3 at Barnsley, but mainly a back 4 at West Brom & Watford Someone (cant recall who) suggested that the formation change was implemented from higher up by Adam Owen. If this is the case, and Ismael is "aligned", then maybe he has his orders, and has to stick to them?
  25. That’s the thing that stood out when he first made the team. What the powers that be at the club were thinking at the time is a mystery. He shone like a diamond right from the off. Not many players have impressed so soon in their career.
  26. He might be crap both in the dressing room and with our younger players!!! Best players do not always make best captains nor good managers as history has shown Always preferred a Souness or Roy Kean type player as captain. Sherwood was a very good Rovers' captain with his all round qualities as a player and a leader. Travis was a decent captain. Sadly, where we are now shows, IMO, just how far our club has fallen.
