youandwhosearmy Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 "Cardiff have been the better team in the second half" - Dinnis. well they had to be!
modes98 Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 just seen the goals on MOTD, thommo's first was an awesome finish! Great second aswell from distance. MGP with a tidy little back post tap in aswell! Thank god thats over now a home tie to colchester! Savage's debut next! (he was on MOTD highlights aswell! looked very happy with thommos goal!
Rovermatt Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Thompson's first goal was a scorcher, Pedersen's was sheer class. Nicely done Rovers.
tcj_jones Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 They very nearly scored from Friedels failure to collect or deal with a cross. They also scored from a cross that should have been dealt with by the defense. Saying that im exstatic that Thompson scored and MGP is certainly making a case for why he should be in the team. I really look forward to hearing what people have to say about Thompson's performance.
SouthAussieRover Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Rovers 3 Cardiff 2 Crowd of 12,123. Yesssssssssssss! Finally got a prediction right What was the crowd?
Yorkshire Blue Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Great second aswell from distance. Great??? Good dummy by Gallagher.
storyoftheyear Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Rovers 3 Cardiff 2 Crowd of 12,123. Yesssssssssssss! Finally got a prediction right What was the crowd? 9,140
Rover IN Bury Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Thank god for that, MGP again! It was not easy listening on rovers world
greggyk Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Well, we won Dont know how, but thats what the FA Cup is all about. But well done rovers-sounded as if Matteo and Neill were woeful
Robertson Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 (edited) well done lads matteo woeful? surely not!!!!!!! GRAY GRAY GRAY please Edited January 19, 2005 by Robertson
dillo_dillo Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Well done boys! I was smailing Gamsten's celebration. (the game live on Tv !yes!)
storyoftheyear Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Second top scorer. Dickov 7 goals, Morten 4.
Maverick Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 A great result. Nice to see Thompson at his best and MGP still scoring goals. Hope he never stop doing that. Anyone know if MGP got to take some freekicks today? Can't wait to get Savage in midfield. Then we get some good breaks and hopefully score more goals on counter attack.
storyoftheyear Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 I heard Morten almost went up in the stands while celebrating, even got a cheer when coming "back on"!
Hasta Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 I'm beggining to get the impression that MGP is by far the most popular Norwegian footballer. His fans are everywhere. Still 3 goals in 3 games - fair play to him!
blue/white Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Oh boy... If Gamst keeps tapping them in- I'll have to up my dosage of humble pie to the entire tin..... He is most certainly loved. Now, can we address the dodgy haircut? He looks like the Revolver era Beatles I am loving 2005 so far !!!!
Alan75 Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 We must have the best haircuts in the Premiership. MPG, Tugay, Nissa, and now Lilly
RoyRover Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 But well done rovers-sounded as if Matteo and Neill were woeful Matteo woeful? I don't believe it! Last time he played was against Cardiff and he was shocking in that match, so it was good to hear that he continued the tradition. Gray or McEveley surely have to be brought into the team over him. But in regards to the game, a great win, which sets us up nicely for a home game against Colchester and the real possibility of having a good cup run. Thompson's first goal was a brilliant move, with a great finish. Pedersen scored another good goal and he is showing what he can do when he is given a run in the team and fair play to him. By the sounds of things we were lucky enough, and seeing Langly's miss from a yard out, Cardiff could consider themselves unlucky. But that's the FA Cup. Too bad Johnson wasn't able to get a game. Also, when Reid came on for Gallagher, where did he play and what players did Hughes change around?
modes98 Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 (edited) Great second aswell from distance. Great??? Good dummy by Gallagher. Didn't you see the way he looked up saw that there was an opportunity then put perfect spin & pace on it to stop galli touching it while letting him put off the keeper! Think we are due some luck to be honest! Would be happy with nissa in at left back and mokoena at cb. Thought lucas had a very good attacking game and did ok defensively just fell slightly asleep for the 1st goal! Edited January 19, 2005 by modes98
