Which stand? Whereabouts? Did anyone else hear anything - I certainly didnt from the back right corner of the BBE.

I did notice one of the lads behind the goal aim a Nazi salute at Lehman after the goal.

I have noticed that too. It really is a disgrace, but what is most worrying is that these people are some of the more younger sections of the BBE, who think its funny and a laugh, but in all honesty are just too stupid to know any better.

Anyway, back to Nicko

Aye, 10 days to go til the Transfer Window closes. Could be a very busy time for those less fortunate than ourselves in the Premiership table; BIG club, Bolton, West Ham, Man U :lol:

Nicko - with your article stating the DW is willing to come over within the week and transfer money being available before the summer window closes, - that says to me that the talks are nearing conclusion. Is it your belief that the trustees are aware of the offer and have in fact given some sort of signal that the said deal could be acceptable?

Rothschilds are doing the deal on their behalf.

And they know what is going on.

A few more details should emerge in the next couple of days.

Similarly, if new funds are to be made available before the end of the window wouldn't due diligence have to be well underway / near completion? Surely Dan the Man and his consortium wouldn’t be looking to shell out on new players without this being someway down the line.

The due diligence issue is interesting.

From what I understand there is enough goodwill between the two sides for this not to be a major obstacle.

If the trustees are happy with the money - and the guarantee of cash for players - they will probably say 'ok.'

Likewise Dan Williams and his people are pretty confident that there are no skeletons in the cupboard.

As I wrote about two or three months ago it is an easy 'buy' because of the way the club is owned and run.

It's not like some other clubs who have changed hands. No names, etc.

If it happened I would agree - but funny that only two people have mentioned it - and they are two people who havnt posted about anything else.....

See why Im cynical? - fortunately my mate sits right next to the drummer - I'll bell him and ask.

sorry to go off subject here........but ive noticed that birmingham city are called 'big club' on this board.....somebody must bring me up to date......did a city fan come on the board and make a comment or summat.........coz i grew in birmingham and most of the sensible city fans (mainly the older ones), and yes there are a few ;), dont consider themselves a big club......maybe there is sometimes a certain pride/big headedness they take from the size of the city and the amount of fans they 'could' get in.......but like i said most of them are well aware that theyve never won nowt and wont argue to the contary.

Have been visiting these boards for a long while and only registered yesterday as i wanted to post a message about the Rovers Supporters FC and our need for new players, thats my motivation behind registering, its not an attempt to deliberately stir up trouble......i see why you may be cynical, but my intentions to post a comment on something i think is a real problem are genuine.....if you think i am full of bs, then you can see my profile on the official messageboards and that for the official supporters FC (www.brsfc.com no8 in the profile section with the worst pic ever)

Judging by the 'who told you thats?' this morning it is obviously a live one.

On the second question I don't think it has had any influence at all on the manager's thinking.

I can think of a couple who were written off by a new club just after they signed. It happens.

If you take a dislike to somebody as a player you might as well make it an instant dislike.

I don't think Diop is on the radar. Doesn't play enough games, has had injuries and would miss a chunk of the season with the African Nations Cup. Also likes London too much.

FYI I don't think you and American Rover12 are talking about the same incident. Yes Sav made a mess of it, but the corner kick which ended up on Fabregas' arm on the goalline via Sambas head .... That is a different situation alltogether. It was ignored by the ref because of a ridiculous decision against Matty on the near post, one fraction of a second earlier. That should have been a pen as well as the handball!

I am aware of the different situations, looks like I may have picked the wrong quote.
