Rovermatt Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 and bentley could finally have his chance, lennon, dyer, beckham injuried, surely bentley has to be called.. Not while Jermaine Jenas lives and breathes.

thecomebackid Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 MacLaren is such a wimp & in thrall to the established stars, he will only pick Bentley if there is enough media pressure to do so.
modes98 Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 enough media pressure to do so. Get the ball rolling Nicko. Start a Bentley for england campaign and of course any Sun journo's scouring these pages for info are more than welcome to join in.
Esulx Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Considering that Joe Jacobson took Kieron Dire out, do you think someone could take out German Genius too as both have failed to deliver for England but still get picked... ...maybe someone should slide tackle McLaren and see if he can be taken out of the picture too.
tchocky Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 He'll get called up this time. The last omission was his punishment. Now that's out of the way so he should get the call..
LDRover Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 If McClaren is still excluding Bentley then SWP and Milner will probably be in the squad and Gerrard can be used there. Bents should get his chance though. I think you'll find that Steve Sauber has already made the call to Chris Waddle.
nicko Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 In the LET, towards the bottom, mentions huddlestone, so talk of us interested in huddlestone could be true.. I think it shows you have more readers than you would imagine...nothing more. Two absolute belters to share, simply because I have to tell someone to share the fun. Everton are signing Thomas Gravesen. And Liverpool might take Jean Alain Boumsong. No, I have not been drinking.

Yes you have. Afternoon drinking at that.
LeftWinger Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 And Liverpool might take Jean Alain Boumsong. No, I have not been drinking. ..but Rafa obviously has if this is true
nicko Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 The stories are absolutely true. Gravasen on his way on loan. And Liverpool want Boumsong on the same basis - which suggests they have someone leaving or a major injury they are keeping quiet.

On mega money apparently.
EwoodGlory Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 I would of liked to of seen him here, though if Reidy is due back soon (fingers crossed) then no need.
nicko Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 If one of your top-six rivals is signing a player who has been a total flop for the last 18 months - after missing out on a 'record' bid for Manuel Fernandes - I would just settle for being delighted. Every awful signing made at this time only confirms that you are in better shape than most of the clubs around you.
EwoodGlory Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 To True. I'm over the moon they didn't get Fernandes, he is a brilliant player. And was my first choice for the Attacking Central role, though out of our price range at present. Luckily Dunny seems to be back to his good self.

And Liverpool want Boumsong on the same basis - which suggests they have someone leaving or a major injury they are keeping quiet. It may be because I'm in France, but I actually think Boumsong is a good player. A loan deal could be good and I think he'll actually surprise a lot of people.
nicko Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 so fulham still want roberts??? rovers making a late move for anyone?? Fulham have moved on, but they are struggling, So you never can tell. No word on incomings. But Bentley sneaked in once, so you never know.

Parry has just said he doesn't think they'll have anyone else in... but he didn't look to convincing I hope you are right though, so I can take the ###### out of my Dad for a while
