LDRover Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Based on the info from Nicko it's got to be Geraint Williams then.

LeftWinger Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 My guess is Geraint Williams then. I'd say he's probably the least well known from that list.
RevidgeBlue Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 It's a total shock name. A bit of an unknown, but from a decent source...a bit like the guy Burnley named. Well off the top of my head I can't think who "G. Williams" is so....................
bob fleming Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Surely not the Overlord of all Evil? Saunders!? Ex-Player and all that.
LeftWinger Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Stan James - Next Derby Boss No Mr G.Williams currently in the betting.
eddiewac Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 He's not on skybet either, maybe ladbrokes know something the others don't...
modes98 Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Short odds as well on Mr Williams. Worth 8/1 nicko? Edit: Drifted to 10/1 already Edit: Now 12/1
modes98 Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 I think someones invested alot of Ince. He went from 14/1 to evens! Saunders with Souness as his assistant lol!
RevidgeBlue Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Saunders with Souness as his assistant lol! At least they will save on the electricity bill!
modes98 Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Ladbrokes have pulled the Derby market already, by the looks of it. Blue Sq have got up and running but were a bit behind with the odds. Only really interesting name on there list is David Kelly at 10/1
Billy Castell Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Who is David Kelly again? One day Souness will be back in football........................ Oddscheacker.com take on Derby manager Maybe Derby could tempt Lippi into Pride Park...................
modes98 Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Who is David Kelly again? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Kelly_(footballer) Derby's current assistant Looks like it's Ince. Blue Sq as well odds have fallen to 4/6, the same level at which Ladbrokes ceased betting. Edit: 1/2
trs Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Who is David Kelly again? This is the man who will eventually make a better gardener than a coach/assist manager
nicko Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Throw us a bone here Nicko!!! I'm trying to nail the story myself. Sounds like there could be a couple in contention. There are some interesting rumours around about two of the candidates. I am hoping to get to the bottom of it asap. There is also the question of whether Paul Ince - who is favourite just now - is actually qualified in terms of coaching badges. It's a live old story this one.
LDRover Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Throw us a bone here Nicko!!! Cracking sig T4E.
modes98 Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Just spotted this on a derby fansite Jewel or Ince are the men being approached, they wanted Mark Hughes but he is staying put. Just noticed they have a Football Consultant and it's Craig Brown. Might not be a bad move if he wanted back into management.
nicko Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 The strength of their information is somewhat undermined by that Mark Hughes drivel. Craig Brown one of EIGHT members of staff gone, Derby don't hang about.
modes98 Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Blimey. That sounds expensive. I spose that all interest any club had in Hughes would have ended when he signed a new deal as that's a powerful indication he wants to stay. Therams.co.uk fansite seem pretty set on Jewell or Ince but that maybe because they are being fed rubbish info. McClaren's odds are rising across the board. Eddiewac: Good call on that 33/1, got a sly few £ on it. Hopefully it isn't Ince as his odds won't drop much i imagine.
trs Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 The strength of their information is somewhat undermined by that Mark Hughes drivel. Craig Brown one of EIGHT members of staff gone, Derby don't hang about. Up to TEN now, they must have found two more hiding under the desk
T4E Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 I'm very surprised that McLaren isn't being more strongly linked.....
modes98 Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 I'm not to sure that the chairmen would be loved by the fans for appointing a manager who has proven to be as bad as he was for england. Interestingly Ince has gone to 5/4 and Jewell has become odds on with blue square.
