thenodrog Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Just the one...call me a cynic but I think this may be a fuss about very little. But I never did like the police. Me neither but 'Message in a bottle' was OK imo.
American Rover12 Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Me neither but 'Message in a bottle' was OK imo. Aahahahaha
nicko Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Nine out of eleven on the team. Could do better. Shocked that Mokoena is in ahead of Sav and to see Tugay out of the picture entirely. Back five and strikers as expected.
John Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Tugay is 37 remember and cannot play regularly anymore. Savage is probably not fully fit yet.
EwoodGlory Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 10/11 for me Sav must have a knock if Mokoena is starting ahead of him?
tcj_jones Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Bloody hell, Redknapp, Storrie, Mandaric, McCaay and Faye have all been arrested. There's never smoke without fire...
ihateburnley Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 And Paul Jewell is a little more expensive and would want cash for players. Apart from that - as of 2pm - he had not had a call. Paul Jewell has revealed that he was contacted at 11am yesterday morning about the Derby job. Either you got mixed up, or you tend to make stuff up to link together your snippets of 'insider' knowledge. I wonder which one.
tcj_jones Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Jan will be happy to know that Souness has signalled his desire to become the new Scotland manager...
nicko Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Paul Jewell has revealed that he was contacted at 11am yesterday morning about the Derby job. Either you got mixed up, or you tend to make stuff up to link together your snippets of 'insider' knowledge. I wonder which one. If you listened properly you would have heard the chairman say he had a call from Paul Jewell's agent at 11 am. He didn't speak to Paul himself until 3pm. He then met him at 8pm to sort out terms. I wrote my story about 4pm if you really need to know. Sorry for your confusion...

USABlue Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Jan will be happy to know that Souness has signalled his desire to become the new Scotland manager... Just might happen too, I heard his name mentioned by one the the uppity ups on the Scots FA mention his name as a "desirable" should Alex Mc move on. Mmm. Good or bad I don't know.
philipl Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Scots coming to terms with: - SAF encouraged McLeish to move to better himself - McLeish moved to a £1 million a year job trebling his salary - Souness is seriously interested in the vacancy
nicko Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 This may be of interest to those who backed Coventry for the drop some weeks back... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...ticle520570.ece
LeftWinger Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 This may be of interest to those who backed Coventry for the drop some weeks back... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...ticle520570.ece Cheers Nicko. I've got £25 on at 9-1. Believe it more when it's in a real paper though.
nicko Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Cheers Nicko. I've got £25 on at 9-1. Believe it more when it's in a real paper though. Oh, it's a very real situation. A few weeks ago there was going to be a rescue, according to the local paper. I think it would take International Rescue and Thunderbirds are not around any more...
thenodrog Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 I think this is probably the most important match yet. Win this and you can really kick on for the top six or better. Lose it and a lot of wind will go out of sails. Villa have got real pace up front, but I think their defence is suspect. It really could go either way, but the first goal will be vital. Spot on Alan apart from your doubting their defensive capabilities. Also I hope the resurgence in form of the mickey mousers and strong home support for Rafa means that you were wrong about Lpool / Hughes. Maybe the best 4-0 hammering that we have ever had.

Maybe the best 4-0 hammering that we have ever had. It's been a long and strange week, but I'm pretty sure I never said anything about Liverpool and Hughes. Last night was a sore one, but it does show that the likes of Rovers and Villa can go close to the top four if they get a good run going. There was only one team in it for 28 minutes and it wasn't Villa, so that makes the pain worse. Their defence was a weakness and got ripped apart for that spell. It just needed the first goal to go your way. The sad part is your run has stalled. A very good job it's Newcastle on Saturday. Overall the big four are going to be stronger than you this season, so it's a UEFA Cup chase or a Cup triumph now in reality.
modes98 Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 I think it would take International Rescue and Thunderbirds are not around any more... I don't think a puppet would help much. Mind you Ranson is a muppet so who knows. Cov 11/1 for relegation with stan james Edit: News has just come on the radio that Dowie will review his position as manager should they go into admin. Also just confirming those other reports and that they can't pay player wages due tomorrow.
eddiewac Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 . The sad part is your run has stalled. A very good job it's Newcastle on Saturday. Ooo im not so sure about that, last year Martins wasnt really doing much, and they he played against us, i always think newcastle are a bit of a bogey team, especially recently anyway, they always seem to give us a game no matter how awful they have been playin recently, wel i say a game, last year we were the better side and lost 3-1
thenodrog Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 It's been a long and strange week, but I'm pretty sure I never said anything about Liverpool and Hughes. Sorry nicko my mistake it was our mate Philipl here 6th post down.... http://www.brfcs.co.uk/mb/index.php?showto...29&st=5620#.
Ricky Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Stan James were offering 11-1 this morning on Cov to go down. Not bad odds at all.
philipl Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 I think it improbable but I am hearing a rescue deal is being thrashed out for Coventry City
