tony gale's mic Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 i quite like ffan, would be nice to see them stay up for his sakes. and woy aswell, he wasnt great for us towards the end but he seemed like a good guy.
Presty On Tour Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Muntari - Do you not mean Benjani? thats the player, he was 1 on 1 with keller about 8 yards out and rolled it square to nobody. Glad fulham won, this type of result/game could get them out of the mess.
T4E Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 That is incredible from Fulham. Huge game next week at home to Birmingham, if they win that they will really believe they can do it. Last game of the season is away to a Portsmouth side that will surely have one eye on the Cup Final. Reading have Spurs at home next week (could be 5-0 either way, or anything in between) and Derby away last game of the season, and will probably still be confident. Bolton have a now safe Sunderland at home next week and then Chelsea away yet to play, surely 3 points is the most they can hope for from those two games. As for Birmingham's last game............there's a huge chance we'll have a big say in who goes down. Great end to the season at the only end of the table with the ability to still capture the imagination. i quite like ffan, would be nice to see them stay up for his sakes. and woy aswell, he wasnt great for us towards the end but he seemed like a good guy. Agreed with that, seems a decent fella. The interviewer on Sky is doing his best to make Woy say "Extwordinawy" in the post match analysis but unfortunately he's not playing.

brian_gallagher85 Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Have we got any TV fixtures for the final day yet, just that the way the Brummies are going we should be able to help decide their fateB)
T4E Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 I don't imagine they'll decide until next week, lets just hope Fulham win next weekend and we'll definitely get covered. Anyone know if they're splitting the final games between Setanta and Sky or do Sky get them all?
brian_gallagher85 Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 I can't see why Setanta won't get one in all honesty...either way I'm sure Setanta Ireland will have one at least
RevidgeBlue Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Burnley are our traditional rivals though, its a two sided thing. I used to loathe United back in the day when we used to directly compete with them but now I don't mind them so much. We do directly compete with United - over a 38 game season. Our rivalry with Burnley has really only been of historical significance for the last quarter of a century and I very much hope it remains that way.
RevidgeBlue Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Going back to the Man Ure Chelski game, really by the letter of the law, any of the United players and most of the Chelsea players could have been sent off for dissent. The abuse dished out to the ref by both teams was horrific and he barely batted an eyelid. Ferdinand, a recent England skipper, being the worst culprit. Whatever happened to clamping down on dissent? It just highlights what a nonsense Benayoun's dismissal at OT was for a rerlatively polite inquiry.
philipl Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Wow, the Prem is boiling up quite nicely after all. At 3.15 I was tempted to write that this MB was showing more interest in Fulham staying up than the FFC players were- glad I didn't now! We need to take advantage of Citeh's slip up. OK we are not going to get European football but another £750K place prize money is not to be sneezed at- could get ourselves another two Sambas. Relegation is now any two from four- comes down to which clubs have the deepest resolve amongst their players and the luck on the day. At the other end, I am quite certain there is going to be a horrible slip up by either Man U or Chelsea in those last four games.
gumboots Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 And on a day when Capello has said his captain must be of good reputation on and off the field and the press saying it would probably therefore be Ferdinand, his behaviour was even more ridiculous.
roversmum Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 If Capello's got a couple of hours, I could tell him in great detail why Ferdinand should not be chosen as England Captain.........and it wouldn't be pretty.
philipl Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 No wonder West Ham threw away a two goal lead at half time- their manager was off moon lighting with his old club. He even gave the post-match interview to the BBC: Charlton boss Alan Curbishley: "I thought it was always going to be difficult. There was no real focus for us. "The difference between the two sides was that little edge Barnsley had on the game. We lost headers and aerial stuff and that was the difference. "In this division we have lost too many games in that area and I think that is something I will address next year." Incidentally, there were some massive gates in the Cocal Cola today.
American Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 ...(could be 5-0 either way, or anything in between)... Nice to see you go out on a limb with that prediction!! Have a soft spot for the Fulham Americans myself. For starters, Dempsey is one of my favorite players. I even have his name on my US shirt.
thenodrog Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 It just highlights what a nonsense Benayoun's dismissal at OT was for a rerlatively polite inquiry. It was Mascherano Simon.
RevidgeBlue Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 It was Mascherano Simon. Ooops, apologies. Point still stands though!
Presty On Tour Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 i hope they show ballack and droga fighting over who takes a free kick on motd tonight, essien's actions say it all. as for the title race, i cant see man utd losing to west ham or manchester favorite steve bruces wigan. chelsea are more likely not to collect maximum points against newcastle in toon land on their final home game or bolton who will be fighting for survival.

I think Wham still owe Fergie a favour for Utd's rollover at OT last season when Fergie's mate need ed points to stay up. People could not see them dropping points to us either, remeber they were all ready to christen Utd champs even before we kicked off. It would really crack me up if, after all the criticism he's had, Avram "smiley" Grant walked away with the title AND the Champions League. That would be funny.
USABlue Posted April 26, 2008 Author Posted April 26, 2008 ffam hugs his Bullard doll and leaps into the air punching with all his might Great stuff He's not huggin it, he's squeezing the air out of it before his wife gets home.
Fife Rover Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Where are you ffan? I bet you have had one or two tonight Eh? Anyway it is great to see your lot battling away right to the end. I hope you stuff Big Club next week, and then you should only need a point at Pompey who will have lost interest by then. Go for it!!!
Hughesy Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Apparently Spurs are rumoured to be a takeover target for £250m from another american investor
thenodrog Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Apparently Spurs are rumoured to be a takeover target for £250m from another american investor I'm suprised that the yanks have anything to invest given the value of the dollar.... much less a 'prune juice' premier league club.
