robborover Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Rough quote from JW: JW "The focus is on survival and finding a replacement who can keep our top-flight status"
Finch Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Very very relieved that the board has seen sense. Never good for a manager to lose his job, but it had to be done. IMHO they should have done it about three games ago. Finally our season can start. Come on the Rovers!
Eddie Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Reputation points? On this board full of silly SOBs. Come on Eddie. Show a little more self-respect. In the meantime: GOD BLESS THAT OFFICIAL TEXT!!!! I was right though...glad JW gave me that call.
Mc Love Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 YABADABADOOOOOOOOOOOOO GET BACK TO DONS YA MUPPET!!!
67splitscreen Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 When this is all over, Edit now this is all over, can someone at BRFCS put the Ince thread's so deep in the archive's they can never be found again. Permanent Deleted will do.
Rovers Air Force Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 thank goodness! Now all we have to do is find someone else!
Bobby G Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Finally...I do really believe the words the statement said. They wanted him to succeed...
Hughesy Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 THANK GOD!! Time to pull together and lets get the club out of the deep brown stuff starting with scumy Stoke. ROVERS TILL I DIE!
colbert Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 statment just been released on the rovers site http://www.rovers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/New...1489931,00.html
doctorryan Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 I was right though...glad JW gave me that call.
67splitscreen Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 You can't get more official than this. gone.
Ninjathunder Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Thank god. Still alleged Rovers fan emailing skysports saying it's a shame that managers don't get the time anymore. Arrgghh!!!!!!
steverovers Posted December 16, 2008 Author Posted December 16, 2008 It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas LOL
RoyRover Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 I just saw it on the website myself. The board had to act now, before it's too late for us. I wish Paul Ince the best of luck in the future and think that he could be a good manager in the Premiership in time. But we cannot afford to be the team where he learns his trade at this level.
Lathund Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 I just hope the board started sounding out replacements a while back so that we can have a swift appointment, giving the new man a chance to assess the squad and any potential new signings before the window closes.
rover6 Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 I feel sorry for Ince but, after the Wigan debacle, it had to happen. I would just like to express my thanks to Ince for putting his efforts into the club. Whatever you may say about his competence or otherwise, I don't think you can deny that he really wanted to succeed at Rovers and seemed to put his body and soul into trying to get us winning games. It didn't work out but I hope his managerial career goes from strength to strength after this blip.
dr_awol Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Paul will bounce back, he is a fighter and we wish him well." any one else thinking john williams has been waching to much alan partridge
RibbleValleyRover Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 It had to be done, managers live and die by their results. The damage may have been already done in terms of relegation, but that doesn't mean we can't fight with all our might to stay up. Got a feeling its going to be Souey...
67splitscreen Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 There's a 40' container, just rolled in front of the main entrance, full of electronic equipment. And 52 seater coach on the car park. Look's as though BFS is due in any time.
