ROVERS Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Goal.com mentioning Big Sam interested to sign a korean creative midfield http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2010/01/08/1733136/exclusive-blackburn-rovers-are-looking-for-two-new-players A clip of him (Koo Ja-cheol) His play style seems to suit Big Sam's style, so anybody know if there is any truth in this?

Ricky Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 There's a 3 page thread on it so you'd like to think there may be something in it. Always worth checking to see if it's been mentioned.
Bobby G Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Ideally if we can move in for our targets now before the games come thick and fast, it could mean that we have a couple of extra bodies against Villa, at least in the second leg.

Can they play? havent players to be registered on the date of the first scheduled tie?

Well his name would give the BBE plenty of options
Bobby G Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 They should be able to play. No such rules exist.
thenodrog Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Sam is being blocked from signing Camel Meriem because he's not home grown. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Allardyce-rows-with-Blackburn-over-free-agent-Meriem-article280787.html Maybe it eould help to offload a few that are not home grown. Salgado being the first that springs to mind. SA has to work within the framework set down by the board and in the best interest of the club just as Owen Coyle had to do likewise at Burnley. Tribal alleges that we're interested in Senderos. ?...... Centre halves hardly being a priority at the moment..... unless we are thinking of selling one.
Kelbo Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 They should be able to play. No such rules exist. I will check but I think they do!! Think you may be correct but they used to be in force, think Spurs got dumped out at one stage years ago!!
John Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 [/quoteRovers are unlikely to make an approach for Monaco striker Eidur Gudjohnsen, while there is no imminent move for South Koren midfielder Gu Ja-Cheol, but Rovers could offer him a trial spell. ]

Ricky Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 The quotes attributed to Sam yesterday about bringing in two players could easily be lanzini and merium (sp?)
RevidgeBlue Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 I wouldnt personally believe much I read in the Telegraph now, Peter White used to be spot on with his reports but lately we get very little accurate information until everything ios concluded! Still more reliable than crap internet sites though. The quotes attributed to Sam yesterday about bringing in two players could easily be lanzini and merium (sp?) If he indeed ever spoke to the internet site in question - which would seem unlikely.
budha Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 If he indeed ever spoke to the internet site in question - which would seem unlikely. If it's on the Internet, it must be true The "sivasspor" website about van Heerden isn't anything offical, more like Vital Rovers. So those reports might still be far from true.
yeti-dog Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 The French connection continues...Sky are reporting we're interested in Thomert from Rennes and that Stanislas Oliveira is almost a done deal.I do like the sound of Thomert particularly.Probably just paper-talk though, especially with the 3-club alert.

Linky-link! I too like the sound of him, although his wiki has little info. But his appearance/goals ratio seems pretty good: Olivier Thomert: Wiki!
yeti-dog Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Links there now...patience is a virtue Mr Mellison!!
mellison24 Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Links there now...patience is a virtue Mr Mellison!! 1-0 to yeti-dog. I added his wiki: 1-1
yeti-dog Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 I've developed a healthy allergy to all things Wiki..but I'll give you 1-1!!
yeti-dog Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 The fact he's out of favour at Rennes helps...may just about bring him within our price range!
Blue n White Rover Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 As uni student, I LOVE wiki. We can't admit that to our lecturers of course haha. But after floating around a couple of sites, they say the same as wiki for his stats in terms of apps/goals. I'd quite like to see him here now! Here we go again Chelsea apparently are to bid £36 million for Dzeko at Wolfsburg, were we not after him for £10 million in the summer?
Iceman Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Amazing, when you consider we were linked with Dzeko, Andre Pierre Gignac and Jaoquin. Ince must have been on to something lol. Damn, if only we had the cash that time.

T4E Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Actually I think Dzeko was originally a Hughes link.
