nicko Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I thought you were struggling to find funds for a striker? So where is this one million for Reo Coker coming from? Why not just add it to the striker fund and get that Jelavic fella. Your midfield can be sorted next summer. Someone has to be going from that department...otherwise there would be no need to look for a new midfielder of that type.

Backroom Tom Posted August 6, 2010 Backroom Posted August 6, 2010 Wow only 26 he seems to have been around forever. Main problem is he seems like a big city boy and may not fancy the bright lights of Blackburn however for footballing reasons we should be a good prospect for him
Amo Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Main problem is he seems like a big city boy and may not fancy the bright lights of Blackburn however for footballing reasons we should be a good prospect for him Same could be said for David Bentley.

roversfan99 Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 If we get Reo-Coker we dont need Faty or Andranik thats for sure
Backroom Tom Posted August 6, 2010 Backroom Posted August 6, 2010 If we were to sign Reo Coker then who would miss out in midfield, Nzonzi is a shoe in as is Dunn when fit but you have to assume morten will play in the centre as well.
RibbleValleyRover Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Wow only 26 he seems to have been around forever. Main problem is he seems like a big city boy and may not fancy the bright lights of Blackburn however for footballing reasons we should be a good prospect for him It may play a factor, but maybe he thinks its now time he moves elsewhere to get some game time? If he is going for that sort of price I could see a lot of clubs being interested so we would have to do a deal quick. He would be the sort of signing we used to make under Hughes: - Out of favour. - Carrying a bit of an ego. - Reasonable age for a decent sell on if we could get him playing to his maximum ability. If we were to sign Reo Coker then who would miss out in midfield, Nzonzi is a shoe in as is Dunn when fit but you have to assume morten will play in the centre as well. N'Zonzi and Reo-Coker together in midfield could be a rock solid combination. If Dunny is to play its going to be behind the lone striker in an AMC role, Pedersen would probably go back to left wing, but then Olsson is really pushing for that place himself. What about a 4-2-3-1? 4-2-3-1 Robinson Salgado/Emerton Samba Nelsen Givet N'zonzi Reo-Coker M.Diouf Dunny Olsson Kalinic That would look a decent side to me.
ewoodpo Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Fulham are buying Andrews for a mill... Yes please!!!!
Hi Mack Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Nzonzi Reo-Coker Dunn Thats what i would be going for aswell, Reo-coker looks the better deal aswell with Faty rated at 1m.

Depends on formation, obviously, but it should be remembered that Dunn can play the wide roles as well.
Torgeir Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I don't particularly rate Reo-Coker but even he's worth £1 million. We need to sign a striker first and foremost though.
ffan Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is ready to sell striker Tuncay to Blackburn to fund his club-record £10million swoop for Nice striker Loic Remy.

Not too keen on Tuncay. Comes across as a sort of MOTD player, you see the highlights and when he performs he looks great but overall he doesn't produce it often enough.
ewoodpo Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is ready to sell striker Tuncay to Blackburn to fund his club-record £10million swoop for Nice striker Loic Remy. Hope not four goals in thirty games says it all.
roversfan99 Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Im in 2 minds, hes talented theres no denying that, im just unsure he can play the lone striker role, he dosent have the physical attributes. I agree he seems like a bit of a MOTD player in a sense, but on the other hand he does have good work rate and energy.
Backroom Tom Posted August 6, 2010 Backroom Posted August 6, 2010 Now tuncay is another one I'd like but he is on silly wages I thought. I think maybe pedersen and Dunn will be vying for the role in the hole this season, Dunn won't complete many ninety minutes though. Then again if we are after another striker surely we aren't going to go with one up top?
DasGelb Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Tuncay could work very well on the flanks in a front three. Isn´t he the captain of the turkish national side, and people still moan.
beerwins Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Tuncay would be a good player in the hole, dont rate him as a striker. Reo Coker better than Keith, better than Grella, big ego? no problem for Sam, no ego bigger than his.
Hughesy Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 REO-COKER...thanks to a very early tip from the 1864Rover chappie...Rovers have been in for Reo-Coker...basically he can come if he wants too...the fee may be as low as £1 million...he played for Aston Villa tonight but that makes no difference...I hear his agent is up for it and the player may well come for talks... So has the bid been accepted or has no bid been made? Was he at Brockhall today? Someone has to be going from that department...otherwise there would be no need to look for a new midfielder of that type. Grella for £2m to Gala & Andrews to Liverpool to replace Mascherano?!
magicalmortensleftpeg Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Reo-Coker and Tuncay would both be a step up from who they would be replacing - Grella and Roberts. Both on their day are proven premiership players, which is more then can be said for many of the other targets we've been linked with, not to mention a couple of our first team players at the moment.
Hughesy Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Reid out > Reo Coker in = Improvement Di Santo out > Diouf in = Improvement Now can we follow the same idea with the following please.......... Roberts > Grella > Jacobsen >
Amo Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 RobinsonSalgado/Emerton Samba Nelsen Givet N'zonzi Reo-Coker M.Diouf Dunny Olsson Kalinic That would look a decent side to me. With moneybags Pedersen on the bench? Despite being one of Sam's "priorities" this season? No need for Tuncay. We need someone who's gonna put the ball in the back of the net.
