jim mk2 Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 It should serve as a lesson what happens when you buy mercenaries and not committed players who are in for the long run. Quite right. Rovers need more players of the calibre of Pedersen, Emerton and Nelsen, loyal servants who are happy to play for the club and who never cause a moment's trouble on or off the pitch. If we had 11 players like them we would not be in our current position near the foot of the table.
MarkBRFC71 Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Quite right. If we had 11 players like them we would not be in our current position near the foot of the table. You're trolling about Pedersen again Jim. Surely?
BuckyRover Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 He is dominating Maicon! I don't know what he will be valued at now. Stunning
JoeBlueWhite Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Bale just humiliated Inters defense over those two games. Maicon especially was made to look like a joke. The most exciting young British player I have seen in a while. If City and Barca want him they are going to have to pay Spurs a ton.
G Somerset Rover Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Bale is gonna literally rape us next weekend.
John Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Quite apt that Salgado is the Sky Sports studio too!
Mattyblue Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Quite right. T4E Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Bale is gonna literally rape us next weekend. Redknapp-itis
Roberto Policano Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 I don't know what he will be valued at now. Stunning Must be over £30 million now.Has to be the best left sided player in the world as the moment. No one does that to the Inter defence, truely breathe taking.
Plastic Head Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Bale is gonna literally rape us next weekend. If only Jim Branagan was 25 years younger.
jim mk2 Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Oh jim, your trolling is getting worse! You disagree with my opinion and dismiss it as trolling ? Think about it - 11 good but not outstanding players but more importantly solid loyal characters who will give their al for the club, or a team of talented fly-by-nights such as Bellamy and Bentley who disappear as soon as their agent can fix up the next deal. Those three players I have mentioned certainly come into the first category and I wish we had more. The club would certainly be in a better position now.
roversmum Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Bale is gonna literally rape us next weekend. I hope not, next Wednesday will be bad enough ...
jim mk2 Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Interesting prospect: Salgado v Bale. The Spaniard's best bet is to hit Bale hard early and put him out for the season. The suvvern press will love that.
Ricky Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Werent there quite a few on here who didn't think bale was good enough for us when he was struggling to get a game at spurs.
Majiball Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Werent there quite a few on here who didn't think bale was good enough for us when he was struggling to get a game at spurs. He still isn't.
LWX Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Bale is gonna literally rape us next weekend. The prospect is a little more than frightening given the form the lad's in at the minute. Maybe Bert at right back? At least he might be able to keep up with him, even he can't tackle him!
LeChuck Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 I reckon we might get lucky and see Bale not start against us. 'Arry has been talking about resting him and Spurs have a pretty big squad. They need to manage him carefully so he doesn't burn out.
Backroom Tom Posted November 2, 2010 Author Backroom Posted November 2, 2010 Werent there quite a few on here who didn't think bale was good enough for us when he was struggling to get a game at spurs. To be fair whilst always a good prospect not many would expect he would be this good. His growth has been extrordinary.
BuckyRover Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 To be fair whilst always a good prospect not many would expect he would be this good. His growth has been extrordinary. I think the football manager players knew
47er Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Interesting prospect: Salgado v Bale. The Spaniard's best bet is to hit Bale hard early and put him out for the season. The suvvern press will love that. He made a monkey of Salgado last season, at least for the first half till we double-tagged him.
Hughesy Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Someone needs to take one for the team & slow him down early on....
Neil Weaver Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 To be fair whilst always a good prospect not many would expect he would be this good. His growth has been extrordinary. Good point, don't remember if it was quite at the same time, but I wonder how folk at the time would have reckoned how Bale would have compared to Kightly in late 2010.
Backroom Tom Posted November 3, 2010 Author Backroom Posted November 3, 2010 Oh yeah whatever happened to him? People on here raved over him
