imy9 Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Cheers Nicko- the mutiny stuff made me laugh, Samba is a nugget and I hope he leaves. Which player/s do you think are likely to join before QPR as Kean has suggested?

Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Well here's to another 100 pages discussing the toothed one. You sure it's not dead? Nelsen & Robbo = great professionals. Samba? Bye.
Daremz Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Apologies for that. First Double Dutch 11 o'clocker. Wooch. Very cool that I was able to tickle you, Nicko (Alan). Thanks for the update - Love from Holland, come and drink a beer with me in Amsterdam if you have the chance.. Hopefully, the next rumour will be Wesley Sneijder.
Torgeir Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 RONALDINHO...totally mental...all three Brazilian clubs think he is joining them...but no decision yet...one thing is official - his brother is a nugget...this fits with what has been happening with the Rovers bid...the offer was made by Rovers to Ronaldinho's bro weeks ago...THAT is why I keep saying 'two things have to happen'...ONE - he has to say, yes we will sign for that...TWO - don't laugh, but he will then have to convince Steve Kean he WANTS to come...the whole story on that in the Mirror shortly...too, too strange...but you don't do dull any more, so what the hell...where will he go?...no idea...but neither has had, by the sounds of it...like the headline said - It's the beach or Blackburn. Say what?
tony gale's mic Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Mixed feelings about things. Good to hear Ronaldinho is still on but none of these transfers look that close to happening either. Ronaldinho needing to speak to Steve Kean and convince him is an interesting move. On one hand its definitely good as it'll test whether Ronaldinho wants to test himself in the PL as well as come for the money, or whether he just wants a payday. On the other hand he might see it as an affront to prove himself to a man who has managed four (five after tomorrow) professional games in his career.
roversnick Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 thanks nicko as we are running an old boys reunion, is there any chance of us going for david too big for blackburn bentley?
rovers1995 Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Without being totally daft what is a lifetime deal? Obviously a deal for life but will it say that or will it be 5 years say Nicko, doesn't sound like any are close, thought 2 were going to be done by the weekend
LessThanJake Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 take it Villa are still in for Samba? If so what's the chances of Davies coming here as part of it?
S60tti_BRFC Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Woah... Ronaldinho has aged... All the transfer talk is going to his head Looks to me like he is desperate for some money going off that...
Fylde Coast Fan Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Got a feeling we won't get Adam. Don't fancy Duff back personally, and dubious about Roque. Hope there's a few other names on the list worth investigating..
ptholt Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 SAMBA...said it before...he wants out...for his own reasons...that one may come to a head very shortly. Doesn't surprise me tbh, he has never had a big money move/sign on fee (that im aware of) and the career clock is ticking, he will not demand a move i dont think as he would forfeit various fees, whereas if the club accept a bid without him expressing his desire to leave in writing he is entitled to 20% of the sale fee iirc. Although if purchasing club offer to cover any potential losses here he would still go, so long as its a damn site more than the 6-8m ive seen, at least double perhaps, then we can start talking.
steo Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Without being totally daft what is a lifetime deal? Obviously a deal for life but will it say that or will it be 5 years say Nicko, doesn't sound like any are close, thought 2 were going to be done by the weekend Kean said hopefully 3 in his interview.
Taggart Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 430 users reading this - crikey ! and 173 of them are all guests WTF ?? no wonder the site is going slow - Nicko, any insight in to Sambas latest public outburst in light of what Kean had come out with 4 - 6 days ago - big contrast and may be slightly frustrating for Kean whilst he is tryign to build a relationship with the media and earn respect ?
ebenrocks Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Sounds positive enough really, not confident of landing Adam though so lets hope there are other options lined up. What sounds positive?! We almost certainly aren't getting Ronnie, as he seems to have decided he's such a good player he can play for every club in Brazil at the same time. We aren't getting Duff... alright that one's a positive for me. Adams is merely a possible but is going to cost us a tonne. Robinson on a lifetime contract... alright Nelsen signing a lifetime contract... right... he's 33 now... and, although we love him and everything, he's also a relatively @#/? player most of the time...
SamTheShrew Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 I really don't understand the 'have to convince Kean he wants to come remark'...
Mercer Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Now the surprise news. NELSEN and ROBINSON...both want to sign new 'lifetime' deals at the club after hearing of the plans for the future...what happened to Captain Phillip's Legendary Mutiny, me hearties?...we should be told. At Nelsen's age, who WOULD NOT want a super new deal. Hasn't he got at least 2 more years on his contract by which time his legs will well and truly have gone!
Greedy_Crawford Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Ronaldinho saga is priceless. It has helped banish the post xmas depression for me anyway! Clearly our new owners need to go on the "negotiating professional footballers transfer deals for beginners" course. In all seriousness we could do with some recruits in midfield and upfront within the next few days. Nicko, any chance any of the deals are imminent?
Torgeir Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Woah... Ronaldinho has aged... All the transfer talk is going to his head Looks to me like he is desperate for some money going off that... It's actually his brother Ranoldinho. So does that mean Samba will get stripped of the captain's armband again? Love his timing, what a muppet.
duffbear Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Nicko - Few weeks back Samba wanted to go Keen stripped him of the captaincy Keen went to India did an interview with talksport were he basically said Samba was now happy Shortly after he was give the captancy back Now today Samba has come out and said he wants to go Do you know what changed since getting the captaincy back and now wanting to leave?
philipl Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Mrs D said in her Sky interview that she was offering new contracts to stop players going to Arsenal or Chelsea. Must admit I thought yippee Phil Jones being tied down.
hawkiiz Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 If Robbo and Nelsen wants lifetime deals, sign them up! So Ronaldinho is still on... shocked that the other reports were wrong, and are now going back Roque will sign shortly I presume. Is it even possible to get it done by the game tomorrow? If Duff wants, what is the price and wages? What would Adam cost now that there is no clause? And finally, what will the Ronne FEE be? Thanks Nicko! Good to get some sensible info for a change.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Basically Kean doesn't want him if he's going to act like a tool and just walk around in flip flops.
PAFELL Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 So basically no good news on the transfer front. Same situation as when we all got up this morning. At one time there was over 500 people on this site. The site was slow, crashed, stopped access etc etc. Somebody suggested that at times the site should be restricted to members only. I agree with the poster who suggested that.
Lurid Coat Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 ROQUE...wants to come, which is key...still discussing terms with Man City...not for me, thanks....however. BA...sounds as big a loop-the-loop job as Ronnie...desperate to get out of Hoffenheim to join West Ham for 'personal reasons' and yet is now hawking himself around to other Premier clubs...starting to think he is one to avoid or he will end up being sectioned like one or two round here should be. DUFF...interestingly, he quite fancies a return which is why Rovers made an inquiry...Mark Hughes won't let him go...decent idea because he can play on either wing...but I still don't like this 'old boy' romantic stuff. ADAM...glad he did well tonight...the manager obviously not the only one watching...smashing player...ideal...a bid will go in..but all the best getting an agreement with Blackpool...there is NO price clause in his contract. So Demba Ba will probably not come, Hughes won't let Duff go, and it would be a nightmare getting an agreement with Blackpool for Adam? I really hope we have other players on our shortlist, then! I don't know whether it would be any easier to tempt O'Hara, Kranjcar, Bentley or any of the other names that have been mentioned to join us, but I fear that it will be hard to get new players onboard in the window (as always with Rovers). Good news about Robinson and Nelsen, though.
