beerwins
Naive gameplan to try and play football on that dog turd of a pitch, only time I would have been glad to see longball and we dont use it.
Pinch
Poor Kalinic...the cynics on here constantly slag him, but I'd like to see him get half of the chances that Mame and Roberts have missed.

Rovermatt
Kean has had some good results since becoming manager but he has to be very careful that he doesn't let the rot set in. He may be the Indians' man currently but they'll give him the push quicker than you can say 'chicken korma' if this sort of nonsense persists. brfcmad1979
bloody useless looks like the false dawn has just been smashed in the face by a harsh dose of reality! Wake up Kean or (Please don't use that word again) off!

Eddie
Kalinic must be wondering how these three are ahead of him in the pecking order. Lost all faith in Diouf ever taking a chance.
booth
Our strikers aren't good enough, end of. Should have been addressed in the transfer window instead of relying on either a crock, a 19 year old or our current poor strike force to come good. Dan
Is this as bad a performance as Ince at Wigan? Nowhere near, but a lack of quality upfront, defensive lapses, especially by Samba and a truly awful pitch have lost us this game.
ptholt
why is mame playing in front of niko can i ask? it always irks me to give game time and exp to a young loanee when we have a youngster of our own that needs the exp... ooo great attacking sub there with jones off for nzonzi... The pitch is the worst ive ever seen in this league since the mid 1990's. There is only grass on the wings. Shocking from Wigan. The league do need to look into it. Thats not enough though. Defensively pathetic. Those who criticised Sam for playing such functional football arent shouting so loudly now. Today was exactly the sort of game where by passing the midfield was needed. Im still yet to be convinced that this side can play pretty football.

The pitch really is unacceptable for a Premier League match, there can be no doubt about that. Can't be used as too much of an excuse, but games at this level should not have to be played on a pitch like this.

Midfield is poor as well, most of the current ones aren't good enough and it could take weeks maybe even months for the likes of Formica and Jones to get used to this league. Rovermatt
We regularly churn out shocking results against the league's lesser lights but the manner of this is sickening. Is it beyond the bounds of reality to get at least a glimpse of all our new players in the next game? 4-3 now. Escaping with a point (maybe) should not cover up the fact that we've conceded four goals against one of the most timid sides in the division. Poor stuff.
