I can see this Formica deal being done just before the stroke of midnight.

Ruben Rochina is all done so all efforts can be focused on the deal.

Window closes at 11.oclock so hope your wrong !!!!!

Am I correct in saying that once they put the deal together & submit it to the FA, the scrutinise it to see if all the I's are dotted & T's crossed properly, then and only then they sanction it & register the player???

If this is the case, I would have thought they have probably submitted the deal on more than one occasion over the last few days, only for it to be rejected by the FA. This would sit well with what BPF said about there being "baggage".

There will be specialist lawyers on the case trying to get things sorted, but I bet it's mental within the club at the moment, I'd love to be a fly on the wall there right now.

We did everything else early, agreed the fee with the club, agreed the contract with the player & sorted his medical, it all of this kind of gubbins that's holding the job up I expect... Here's to hoping we get it sorted!!!

Chuffed to bits about Rochina... welcome to Ewood lad!!!

Sturridge to Bolton is done...someone tell the Guardian and the chap on Sky.

It's ok, they'll have picked it up from here now!

As a totally off-topic comment, what happened to the low-bandwidth theme? Could be useful today!

The Formica thing is baffling.

I am told a deal is agreed. I am told personal terms are agreed.

However there is definitely an issue over passports and visas.

The Argentinians say he has a new Italian passport or is getting one. No idea if that has been done. It seems rather quick.

It is possible - likely, in fact - that he signs and waits to get a new Italian passport before he can play.

Something new always crops up.

Why is it so slow then Glenn??

300+ logged on users on THIS THREAD alone, pressing F5 like rabid baboons.

Every time you press F5 a kitten dies.

Don't worry folks, if any real news breaks, we'll post it on the news section, on twitter and on facebook. Go to the pub and stop killing the website :)

I ain't that excited about Rochina,he looks a decent player but don't think he will play much part this season but one for the future.

will be gutted if the Formica deal falls through, this window is an eye opener for our owners and the money it takes to compete.
