Hughesy Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Looks like Harry wants him £9m with 6 months on his contract would be a very fair deal I feel, just a shame the lad has had his head turned! GREED!

ruggles1995 Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Good luck getting in front of Lennon or Bale. Enjoy the bench. Would snap there hands off for 9mill with only 6 months left on his contract. Looks like we might have around 20mill to spend then in january with hoillet and samba both looking like going. I would spend every penny on our back 4.

GREED! Im gutted to see that he wants to leave. However, if you were in his position, would you go to Spurs (who are in great form atm) or would you stay with Steve Kean? If we only had a decent manager. We will never know, but perhaps that would have made him stay a bit longer. (Same goes for Phil Jones btw!)
bob fleming Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Is it him or is it his father? Is his Dad any good?
Lurid Coat Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Greed? Even though it hurts to see our talented youngsters leave, can we really blame them? They're too good for this shambles of a club. It's so utterly painful to imagine how things would have been had N'Zonzi, Hoilett, Olsson, Lowe, Rochina and Formica played under a decent manager (and if the club had owners not planning to strip the club of its assets).

GREED! No wonder the spivs arent interested in selling the club just yet when offers like this one could be just weeks away.

As for 20 million, theres not a chance they would spend half of that.
Hughesy Posted November 24, 2011 Author Posted November 24, 2011 I do NOT buy the 'its the manager', 'its a shambles' - he was hard work enough getting him to sign last time, the lad clearly believes his own hype. Why back him up? He's got big headed ala Bentley and now wants to go sit on a top clubs bench. 9 years of investment in him, GREED!
Ferrit Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Massive mistake on his part that will undoubtedly stunt his development. Spurs is a blackhole of talent being wasted, Bentley being a prime example. That being said, if I was in his shoes i'd be gone quicker than a dose of the ****s.
den Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 He would have signed again under Sam and a winning team. No chance under the current incumbent.
LeftWinger Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 He would have signed again under Sam and a winning team. No chance under the current incumbent. Just to play devil's advocate - would he have been playing as much under Sam?

I doubt J.H would be interested if Spurs were in the chumpionship. GREED? get real. I think Junior Knows where we are heading under our dear leader, and possibly does not fancy chumpionship defenders taking lumps out of his shins
alexanders Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 He would have signed again under Sam and a winning team. No chance under the current incumbent. Was this really necessary ? Hoilett had struggled to make his breakthrough under previous boss Sam Allardyce but Steve Kean’s appointment saw the youngster become a regular starter and one the club’s key performers.

Rovers will be relegated in May (well sooner actually but that's when we go down) so why would Hoilet want to stay? Take the money and run, he'll be worth half that next summer.
Clitherover Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 We all knew he wasn't going to sign a new contract at this shambles of a club. Would rather him go abroad on a free than stay in this country and witness what could have been first hand, especially knowing that the 9M is only going to line those scumbags pockets and we won't see penny one of it. Still, rather Spurs than Newcastle.

Sign a new contract with a release clause for relegation if thats the case, simple. GREED - 100%. He only just signed a new deal last time, and hadnt made his breakthrough then.
2PAC 4 Blackburn Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Wonder how much the club will get after JA and SK?! Hmmm. Rubbing their hands!

Paul Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 More nonsense Hughesy. Look at his point of view. Only one place Rovers are going. I'd do the same in his shoes, these chances don't come round often. No reason to stay as we can't offer him a future

I'd do the same in his shoes, these chances don't come round often. No reason to stay as we can't offer him a future So why not sign a deal which has a relegation release clause? If he's that confident we are going down like our defeatist supporters then he will get his move in summer anyway! Some of our fans are so defeatist and so negative its untrue - yes times are hard with how its all going, but you should never give up! And why the fook does Jerome's son keep giving me negative points, where as anyone who wants to sell or let him go gets + points? Is it because your dad gets commission and will buy you a new ipad or something you muppet?
booth Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 The Ewood exodus continues. Samba after that I expect.
pick32 Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Try getting huddlestone and dos santos then we would be a stronger team for it.
Mercer Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Looks like Harry wants him £9m with 6 months on his contract would be a very fair deal I feel, just a shame the lad has had his head turned! GREED! Suggest you direct your anger at Venky's & Kean who, IMO, have reduced the club to such a shambles that the best will want away and we will only attract the mercenaries and desperados. Facts are that instead of of, IMV, securing Kean's mouthpieces for Kean earlier in the year (Salgado, Nelsen, Roberts etc), we should have been tying-up the best young talent. I think Hoilett would have signed like a shot then BEFORE the hype, if it has, went to his head. As things currently stand, our best option will probably be to take the £9m and run as to block his move then will only result in another RSC situation when Sam first arrived. Unfortunately, I doubt that Kean is capable of investing that money wisely looking at, what I think, is an appalling transfer market track record of his.
