Kamy100 Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 The latest I heard was that he had picked up an injury which was delaying the move.
bluebruce Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 The latest I heard was that he had picked up an injury which was delaying the move. Then let's go back in for Silva if his contract talks have broken down. Or I dunno, sign a BLOODY DEFENDER!
Stand & Deliver Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Defenders what are theses defenders? It wouldn't suprise me if he kind of did the opposite to Spain in the Euros. No keeper, no defenders, just a team full of attacking midfielders and forwards. A feckin mentalist is our coco!
Baz Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Yeah no point in buying an injured player. A hamstring strain shouldn't stop you buying a player. He's either good enough or he's not. If he was recovering from an Op, then fair enough.
dwayne cage Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Surely we want players who can hit the ground running though?
Waggy76 Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Surely we want players who can hit the ground running though? There are not many in our squad , who can run !
Baz Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Surely we want players who can hit the ground running though? If he's good enough he will be fine in 6 weeks time. Could you see United turning around last minute and cancelling RVP if he had a slight calf strain?
Torgeir Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 If he's good enough he will be fine in 6 weeks time. Could you see United turning around last minute and cancelling RVP if he had a slight calf strain? I actually think it's a healthy approach. Better to be cautious than signing a player with a potential recurring problem. Most likely he'll be good to go in 2-6 weeks, I doubt he'll sign for anyone else during that time.
dwayne cage Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 The difference between RVP and Diogo is that RVP is world class so you wouldn't give up on him no matter what. Diogo is relatively unknown and we already have got a shed load of them in.

Diogo is relatively unknown and we already have got a shed load of them in. I wouldn't sign him anyway, but that's not the point. IF you want him then you wouldn't be put off by a hamstring strain. If he was on a 6 month loan then it would probably put you off.
Eddie Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 but a hamstring strain might prevent you from carrying out a full medical, which might put you off.
adsfortheblues Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Cracks me up this, what a load of rubbish! If we sign him I couldnt really care less, will be ###### just like evey other signing kean has made! Bar yak which wasn't his signing
roverandout Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 why are people making such a big deal over this lad, he will probably most likely end up doing a righters, play in the reserves, go out on loan to a foreign or lower league mickey mouse club and then disappear when he will be found playing in some back-water foreign league

roverandout Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 what i mean is some on here are panicking about him picking up an injury like we have just signed a superstar, i may be wrong
Jeru tha Damaja Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 Nobody panicked. Someone asked, but if you sensed some sort of urgency in the question then it was your inference, not theirs.
